I don't chase the market. I stick with my analysis and they are right most of the time. With money management in place. I am looking at monthly, weekly, daily and 4 hour. I see totally different on the longer term than day traders. I look at the fundamentals, and technical analysis and sometimes COT reports. You want to catch those 100 pips up that is good for you. I go for 300 pips and more. Long term and a lot of money too. Trade safe.

very interesting. I mean, I am still holding. Not chasing 100pip. Just like you looking for 300pip lol.
where do you plan to sell. I want to see if I can draw out an analysis to see if I can match those area of your entrees.

Yo buddy,

on last Friday I did the buy early but took a loss that I was able to move at half of the initial risk. On Monday morning I went long again and so far I am up twice my initial risk while you are thinking to get in because the flag has been broken.

What is your plan ? Getting in now or waiting for a pullback risking missing the trade ? What is your stop loss and take profit ?

You said that my approach was riskier but actually I think otherwise, you are gonna need 3 times more pips than my entry, which means I risked 3 times less than you and I am already in profit even if it turns out to be a false breakout.

Trading is all about anticipation aka high R:R ratio.

I kinda figured you jump the gun but thats okay if it works with your trading strategy. I think we had a disagreement on "when" you should "enter" a expected "breakout"

EDIT: I just went and did a web search for "how to trade a bullish flag pattern" As I thought the general consensus for most professional traders you can see below....I can maybe explain to you further if its not clear....on why

You said that you would rather wait of a break of the “forming” flag pattern before going long.

I said that anticipation is the key by entering the forming flag pattern at the bottom while the price made consecutive lows without getting deeper, like a bouncing ball.

All that in order to get a high reward to risk ratio, which is impossible and riskier if you take it at the break like you suggested.

I am surprised that you went long otherwise after what you said, good for you then but kind of contradicting.

I said as I am saying now....when trading a breakout...is best to enter on the breakout or (a retracement from the breakout, which i didnt include the first time) You wait for conformation on breakout before entering expecting it BECAUSE

It may not break out and continue in channel further in opposite direction(which happened to you)
It may breakout the opposite you expected
It may never breakout as expected

Vule I didn't say you chasing the market. I said I don't chase the market. I have my positions long term and they tend to work more than they are wrong. But I do understand what you mean about buying EURUSD. Looking at 30 minute chart, I could have bought it today but I didnt. I was not day trading. So I am holding my long term sell positions. Here is 30 min TF where I think EURUSD will get to before going down more. The price 1.1350. If it gets there.Trade safe.

You are standing by what you said.

My meaning was just that being more aggressive, one could get in earlier by actually taking less risk than the following trader.

That is why anticipation is the key and gives big rewards and is actually less riskier.

To each their own I guess and I respect.

very well. It could really go to 1.1350 and pull back to 1.1290 and rocket? Donyou see this week becoming a red candle? If it does then the month will be a red tail. That being said I will switch to short. Only on that condition bc this is the last week for this month. We will be having a new candle month. If this week is strong bull. Monthly candle will fill.

edit* as I am speaking a big spike is coming in... new daily candle bounce is at 1.1230... where I have another buy entree
