I am finished for the day. I see I have posted a lot and do not feel like doing so anymore since I feel I am repeating myself and distracting myself from my own trading. Perhaps some of the many lurkers here can step into the light and post their trades and thus learn by doing. This is a great thread, so step up and post. Good luck.
And thanks Laura for a great thread/trading approach -I learnt a lot to boost my knowledge further. Shows we are never too old to learn more.

I was reflecting on the same this weekend regarding the drop in daily postings. And I realized that I have certainly not been contributing to the level I was doing.
I will also attest to your point that going from casually trading (when I could during the day job) in April/May to dedicating my early mornings before the day job and trading far more pairs with about 3 fold trades, increased journaling, etc., certainly prevents the time (and energy) to mark up charts and post.

So I was hoping much of the drop was that people had found their groove with Roadmap and were too busy successfully trading to keep posting.
I also wonder if anyone new to the process is nervous to post this far into the thread, for fear that it has become geared for the long haulers?

Anyway, I will miss your posts because at some point I may venture into the world of indexes, and it is always great to see a chart you have not stared at all day to get fresh ideas to consider. To your profits, sir.

Hey Guys, with so much news coming out today and the whole Navarro Fiasco moving the market earlier today.

What all do you think about trading today?

Or should we sit out of the market to let the noise settle?

Hi, your comment about being new to this process and nervous to post may be relevant in many cases, in my case I am new to this process as of last week and I am spending a lot of time reading from the start of the thread and trying to catch up, which leaves me little time to post charts looking for feed back.
I am on page 67 so I am getting there and please let me assure anyone who is posting charts, it is helpful and people are looking and I am sure will join in when they can.

Keep going and post charts when you are ready. I am only stopping my posting of daily charts because I am repeating myself. When you are ready then post and I am sure people will chip in and help you in your analysis. Keep studying - it is worth it.

Hi TheG-Lover, I have definitely found that getting more and more serious with Roadmap I'm journaling every trade with screenshots markups profit/loss and it definitely takes its toll so that's why I've not posted here either.

newbie to forexfactory here.
I'm also in to a method that uses an indicator ( ATR..average true range) that seems apparently like your system.
But i use it by plotting the atr in the direction i assume the price would go.
Could you please explain the way you use the ADR?

Hi,

The way the ADR is used is directly explained in the first few posts, and can be seen on the screenshots: It's plotted directly with reference to the daily open, and it can give potential targets for trades. Once the ADR is reached, the indicator locks it in, with the high and low levels becoming red.
ADR can also be used for reversal / counter-trend setups, when the daily range has been hit and you anticipate a reversion back to sma or some place else.
It can also be used as a filter to skip a certain setup: Imagine you see a channel failure (so trend continuation) to the upside, but the ADR high is say 15 pips away, you might want to stay away of it in the sense that there's not enough potential move to the upside.

Turnip/others on Tradingview, am I right in thinking that the ADR indicator does not "lock in" on the script on there (as well as not working on Mondays!)

I only find in tradingview the ADR not moving in real time with new highs/Lows....

In response to Turnips posting (made me feel guilty) and recognizing that if you are not satisfied with something, then you are part of the problem
I am resolving to post during my lunch break a trade from my morning that could benefit others.
The trade structure below has become my best. I have posted it before, but this is just one example of it working today
(Also had it create trades on AUDUSD (+15, + 33pips); AUDJPY (+ 18, + 29pips); AUDCAD (+11, +31Pips)
I only trade between 3 and 7 (UTC -5) and only trade 5min time frame (my stops are set by S/R, HiLo, ADR)
A good chance to possibly look at those charts and see if you can find the trades I made.

Don't feel guilty - i simply have nothing new to post. Note that you and a very few others do, periodically, post interesting scenarios. There are also many who lurk and add nothing to the thread. You are definitely not one of the many. So cheer up G.

For what it's worth turnip15 and TheG-Lover, I think your posts are great. I certainly don't find then repetitive, and even if they are it just reinforces the concepts

I haven't posted for several days because, as expected, when using daily charts more more patience is needed ...but for anyone interested, here are my current positions. I have only added one trade from my last set of posts as I am still learning, and want to see how these pan out.

Hi!

turnip15 and TheG-Lover, I'm another one who is learning and enjoying your posts. I've made a couple of timid contributions because I'm still learning and making a lot of mistakes jaja, so I don't want to cause confusion posting some bad / undisciplined setups.

But, I'm trading daily before work and reviewing my trades afterwards, learning a little everyday.

I hope I'll be posting more often soon enough.

Keep it going guys, your work its much appreciated.
