Think of it this way... You are walking down the street. A pretty girl passes you by. You stop, and turn.. You look at her bottom. You turn around and walk back to her for a closer look. You get there and it is more amazing than you thought.... Invalidating your initial direction because now you are walking in different direction PAST the spot where you saw her.
If it is not that pretty.. You turn back around and continue with the direction you were going. Hope that helps a little.
