Good job to the rest of the IMT/TDI followers! You knew to use lower timeframe to enter as the up move progressed through the timeframes. It showed you the turn around.

Good to see that you IMT/TDI traders were making the continuation sells while checking higher TFs, and are now looking with caution at the present potential continuation.

Dear emmanuel and fellow traders; in post 25 template the moving average setting is period 5 shift 2 method simple and apply to typical HLC/3,,,,but big E said he use EMA; so which setting should I use for moving average? thanks alot for my dump questions

No Tekkies actually i followed a TDI H1 Signal here that gave a steep angle after it closed above the ma. As I entered it made good upward move before and even the H4 candle was bullish at that time. That’s just how very bad predictive the TDI is.

Well, you IMT/TDI traders that were viewing that small up swing with caution after that very long down swing must know something... You were quite a head of the game--even before M15 turned, you had your pips harvested from the down move and were geared up to change direction.

Sure, only hindsight trading is important here now, because Fake Trader declared this is not a live trading room.

1. If you manage to read hundreds of postings from the beginning, you will find exactly what settings BigE used.
2. Feel free to try several different settings: You may discover settings that give YOU better results!

As you can see on my H1 chart, the first bar to close above EMA5 was the first bar to the right of the white vertical. So entry would be the open of the next bar. However, I suspect that your closed bar corresponds to the 2nd closed bar to the right of the white vertical, so you entered on the opne of the next bar. If you count only the white HA bars, then you entered on the 3rd one--BigE made it clear that is risky, because the HA swings tend to run 3-8 bars.

If you look at the regular bars, the swing low is 1 bar to the left of the white vertical. That puts your entry on bar 5 of the swing.

Also, I suspect most folks do not see it, but if you looked at M15, you would see that the up swing is on "overtime", so it is highly likely that it is ending a retracement will begin.

Iddd I dont usually join in on these things BUT you were not following the H1 signal, it was way way too late for that. When it closed above the MA was at the price roughly 1.33178 which was way before your entry a whole hour actually. I know that because I entered on it.

I just re-checked my entry on USD/CAD today. Yes the entry was far to late. I did not watched M15. I had H1 open at this time and i had a quick look on H4. Thats all.

So what does the average run of 3-8 candles helps? Even when i am able to catch the open of the second HA candle after TDI crossed (first candle) it most situations for me those trades collapse with the next candle, same as happened with UCAD here. The average run of 3-8 candles is maybe what it used to be 10 years ago as BigE was trading this method, did anyone actually checked is this is still the case? Have you watched the big down move on the left side of the UCAD chart. It was about 20 bearish HA H1 candles, i think 19 exactly.

So why does it always run only 1 candle before it collapses when I enter a trade without any chance to reach a decent RR here but on the other hand runs 20 or more candles for a 100 pips when its against me?
