Their server halt made my balance negative
stop-loss in ICMarkets is actually nothing

During the Corona volatility, one Monday morning, on the Asia session, I realized my balanced turned to -600 (was 1,100+) in about 5 minutes.

I was online and my terminal was connected, but there were no movements on the charts (frozen), their servers were not responding to any command and my 1,100+ turned to -600.

When I contacted their customer support they offered me to deposit the same amount of $600 and of course internal transfer is not accepted, in return they promised that they add this amount to my account so it will show balance = 600.
So not only I lose 1000+ I have to deposit 600 more, from my pocket, just to become 0 !!!

Actually this is not the first time, I've had at least 3 other experiences of their server halt/freeze. It caused my trades to be closed with much bigger losses than my stop loss, in one case, my trade on Gold was in ~100 pips of profit on Friday, but on Monday, 4 minutes after market open, it went all the way back passed my stop loss and kept going without triggering it and eventually after the particular move has stopped, their server woke up and decided to close it with -150 pips (meanwhile I was trying to remove my stop loss/cancel stop loss, but it was giving error and was showing "market is closed" in the journal tab )

Of course as I mentioned in one of my previous reviews, they never accept any responsibility about their faulty servers (started from August 2019 that they sold the company to a third party). This was one of my accounts and now I can't transfer or withdraw from my other account too.

Note: I published 3 reviews on the same day of the problem on forexpeacearmy but they did not publish them until 2 days ago (20th May 2020) that I sent a complaint to their customer support and warn them that I will send my reviews to all other forums and will mention that they take sides. Today I found out that they are showing my last review (2 previous ones does not appear on my profile as pending or declined or anything)

We all need to boycott IC Markets and other brokers that don't accept their own responsibilities.

That was my second account with 1000 balance, my main account and a reserve one also are there and currently I can't do any withdrawal to go to another broker, I have 3 accounts with FXTM with balance and an zero balance account on Fibo too
For time being I'm looking for a solution about ICM case

let me help you in the last part of uncertainty.
it isnt an empty promise.
however, get it learn in writing, negotiate! LOL
when my acct equity went to negative, i was proactive, wrote them, to discuss what is next.
made an offer: i put money on the acct, then forgive the negative.
they agreed.
i was -800$ negative that particular acct, deposited a couple of Ks, and that negative was forgiven.
but i had their word for it before. what they were happy enough to give in writing.
everything went as agreed.

sum it up: stop moaning over on the forum, start to get the deal negotiated with support.
there is always, always another trade!!

How can you prove all of these? What if on IC market's end everything was fine , worked , somehow your platform stopped working?
Thats the main question. Without tangible proof your case very weak ....

Can you do that for me? Can you make an account balance shows -$1 with your platform? let alone -600

So they have accepted the problem was from their side and non of stop levels or percentages were trigger, that's why the offered a deal

I'm trading live with ICMarkets currently trade in profit but I could not close due to platform is frozen for Russel on MT4 or Ctrader. I better get compensated if this makes a UTURN and turns in a loss instead. I have spoken to support I got a TP set and I'm sure it should have been hit. This is such a bad experience. Common guys...

My TP for Russel is at 1425 and I see it drop to 1423. Yes I am short. This better have closed at a profit. Else, I will post more nasty messages over here.

Ok I just closed the trade at profit. Unbelievable... ICMarkets price went below TP. But it did not get executed? TP should be sent at Market and should have gotten hit even while the platform is frozen. I am withdrawing my money.
