YOU can short there if you like. But people who are more conservative and less daring will wait for confirmation, because this thing could go up. I'm not saying I am bullish, but rather that I am undecided at the moment. And do keep in mind there will likely be a gap on Sunday, which could potentially work against or in favor of a short position, depending on how wide it might be. In short (no pun intended), shorting is a gamble at this time.

take a look at the PA on DXY and EUR/USD past week or so, particularly from ~7a to ~12p EST. we're in a range, reversals galore, respect the S/R, don't expect long trending trades until there is a significant breakout

I look at the daily and also see price consolidating...seems textbook almost....just waiting on breakout to either side...that will probably come with some market moving news like action from the ecb or feds...

I use it also not as much as others..Daily, H8, H4, H1, M15, M5 & M1 which I use the last two for entering positions when they are not triggered automatically...and I use the others for analysis

closed positions and sitting flat. bullish in the short term, DXY looks like it wants to continue to consolidate, we'll see next week.

Fundamentals just warranted a drop below 1.077. Dutch bank Rabobank is predicting 1.05 within 3 weeks. After today's US reports I don't see why not.

This is based on daily. I avoided the panic move made during the early corona crisis to calculate the true FIB retracement.

It is perfectly aligned with the daily. I hope the information on the chart gives you more perspective on your analysis.

never understood that move up, everything was bearish, so it must be so, "they" just killed bunch of trades before move down
