Taken another long 23.7... My original entry point.

Obviously I know I should sit this one out while the market is being crazy, but I have some money to burn and a will not to be beaten.

afk on and off, so no much trading for me today
Looking at the charts this morning I would only scalp if trading, with SL not too far from entry, and reasonable PT, minimising the risk.
It all adds nicely, especially with a good number of scalps.

Let’s see... market has probably shaken out all the scared traders who will be inactive on both sides now (bull/bear).

I don’t think that was the intention, I feel certain the Fed stopped another market bloodbath.

From a technical point of view - Vix sloping down again, momentum broke out. Now is as good time as any in current climate.

Don't know if anybody here use CoT analysis, but I'm looking forward to today's CoT data, but especially next week's as this report shows data es per Thuesday, hence not whole sell-off will be considered today. It can really determinate next direction, i will let you know once I'm done with analyis.

Besides CoT data, I think indices are currently forming lower high on daily chart before further sell-off, we will see...

Got out the moment it ticked down, lol.

I am sure the Fed will buy again if it drops but I’ll keep my powder dry for now.

Could have switched to a short position but the Fed may kill that opportunity. Better on the sidelines.

Not sure CoT really helps much with Indices, I do have a look from time to time.

I work for a big institution. Most people on here think banks know precisely where the market is going. I can tell you that they have absolutely no idea... when data doesn’t work they can’t predict.

Institutions have made good profits out of commission as clients move around money to protect themselves during this period, but a lot of them have been absolutely scorched by taking their own positions.

can´t have put it better - just the truth. that´s the reason why so many banks stopped non-client related trading activities over the past years. regulators made it more expansive in terms of equity capital. "THEY" do not exist. "THEY" are no monolithic block. the best traders therefor moved to less regulated places like hedge fund or algo firms - or just founded new ones by themselves.

{quote} HI D1, I've been following your thread since the begginging of April and it's quite amazing what you've accomplished in the last few weeks and years. I too saw a divergence in the way your trading. Larger timeframe targets? Are you able (willing) to go into how you use the 1m, 5m and 1h? I, like alot of people viewing this thread, would love to learn more about how you frame the market in the way that you do. Amazing stuff! Thank you!

{quote} Who are the usual suspects, am I one? I am here. Wins outweigh my losses so I don't mind - gotta take some losses. More frustrated that I was waiting for this drop and changed my conviction. Throughout this recession I have been apportioning 80% into investments (it's the right time to invest while keeping some cash reserves) and 20% in the spot market. If I can sleep easy at night then my risk is ok... As for Delta, he still walks out of this a multi millionaire. Will he care? Hmm probably not that much.

good post. like the fact that at least ONE member thinks over the day ahead and is investing during corona. i don´t sell stocks - i buy them. every dip is a great investment chance on a long enough time horizon (10/20 years). crisis come and go - investors stay and make good roi. buy and hold, passive income rules!
