DOW is highly tradable outside the US sessions, yet I seem to trade much more during the NYSE open, though my mid term positions stay open foe several days (quarterly futures - bigger spread but no more charges with my broker).
I need to look how I can improve trading DOW outside the US sessions.
That was a great entry last night, I must have drunk so much coffee that I could not sleep, so I read and had one comp running, so I have seen the PA well passed midnight. (UK).

There's some really good and reliable setups in the Asian session, I have been thinking about developing some algos for it. Attempting to teach myself how to code, bit frustrating when you aren't a technie.

Like me, I have a friend who programmed some indicators for me, they work well. I think it might be too much for me to learn, although I have been told that MT4 programming language is not that difficult. Java might be a bit more difficult, but there is a good tool to program indics for Prorealtime, I have been told that in Java there is some limitation.
The trading algo testing with historic data is fantastic, but I do not know how to program EA either, but have seen it done and tested.
I have been told that some indicators are badly programmed and can slow your computer.
Have had few of them long time ago.
I have some good friends who are excellent in programming, but have no knowledge of trading, it makes it more difficult to explain what one is trying to achieve by the new algo.

Is that just me or is the EU session becoming the new Asian nowadays?? seems there is more chance of a trend move during Asian than during EU (doesn't mean it never happens, see yesterday... but big moves also happened during Asian in the past )

Took a very small profit on the one remaining open long.

Let’s see what today brings. Gilead trading halted and Dow went parabolic for a moment.

Staying out till after NYSE open a 500 point move within 5 minutes on worse than forecast GDP.
Can only assume its this? "Gilead reports ‘positive data’ on remdesivir coronavirus drug trial"

A fresh H on DOW daily, there is some more space above. 61.8 fib looks achievable within the next few days in the region of 25250 zone, it remains to be seen.
do not short the beast unless some compelling reason to go to the median, always risky
much better to wait for a PB and go long

Institutions are just seeking any reason to push the market up, doesn't really matter what the news is.

Will be interesting to see if the GDP report causes a drop, could be volatility either side but the direction for today seems up. I will wait for all sets of news to come out then see if there's a pullback in the overall trend. I am not a big fan of trading the news.

Closed out for 150, think it’s going to pullback soon and I’ll re-enter.

Probably should have held until end of day. Is covid boredom getting the better of Neo? Absolutely.
