I am not an expert either but at least wouldn't trade with that kind of broker: the spread is horrible .... Oanda and Tickmill have way better spreads
MTF PA with indicators = a winning team

This is moving super slow. Moved two SL to break even while they’re in profit.

Will wait and see what to do with the other two positions.

Closed all longs at 24230 for a small loss, about -20 points
the position was under water, so I have added some extra longs at the mR1D and aimed for a rescue trade
Once PA has not cleared 24250 I have decided a rescue trade scenario, with adding a slightly larger lot at 24160 mR1D (mid daily pivot) to make it possible
Celebrating discipline.

seems intent on staying below 24260 frustrating as I'm about 180 pips under.

Taken profit on one, break even SL hit on another.

Looks like the Fed aren’t supporting today, lol. Next level down is 23.9

Two positions remaining open which I’ll hold.

I was almost at BE on that hike, but PA moved fast from there so for me the rescue scenario has been on carts since that time

Ah yes, I took another profit in addition to that.

PA is definitely a bit odd right now. Although this would appear to be a normal pullback, the Vix is up 3% at close and there were some odd moments of violent volatility in there.

I still find it odd that the market climbs while we are in a recession (as always, as we know, indices aren’t the economy). Difficult to predict when the Fed will intervene vs. when they won’t.

There were good entries according to my strategy, the PA just gone as it had and I have had to acknowledge it and adapt.
Sometimes the day is about minimizing the loss, still very good month and week so far.

The market is moving erratically, if you can minimise your losses then you are doing well.

Price didn't break below the Asian session low and kept testing for a breakout on the upside, technically it looks ok.

Problem with volatile markets/recessions is that we know we cannot predict news reactions. If it chooses not to listen to the above article, then I wouldn't be surprised if it breaks out in the Asian session/early Frankfurt..

Haha not necessarily, market already dropped 500 points today so I cannot imagine it will lose too much more.

Lets see if the market cares about negative news. I’ll hold my positions this time..

The H of today came a bit too early as being counted as significant rotation to the sustained down move. I am of the opinion that DOW will surpass that H before Fri, than Fri is the 1st of May, Bank holiday of the past era, still observed by some PC correct circles. My software indicates H on the Tue 5th of May, lets see if it will be around that day, give tolerance of two days either way, since a poss H on Fri.
Thur data release might push Dow up, then???
H4 looks a bit tired with the downside continuation.

It will be bad, but possibly not bad enough, a bit like unemployment data, remains to be seen, it is possibly already priced in. I mean priced in for a time being.
But who knows.
Bad data - more stimulus - do not fight the FED scenario possible

Would suggest everyone waits for the reaction of GDP figures before entering trades today. Could be severe or the market may not care at all; you never know!
