$409k Challenge

Done and done....Started out with some losses then a coupple of vinners then more losses before i ended with 4 really ine runners to the south....So my drawdown just held under 10% 9.87% i belive ,but i didnt have more than 3 losses against winners ,but had 4 in a row and that drew the overall drawdown down,but i need to keep numbers on possisions on one trade to max 2 lots total....Now i have 200 dollars to recover before in profit over all trading this month...DOW moves so fast that my awerage time in trade is 2 minutes...lol

Well my EA is ready so I'm just sorting out a VPS - and then should be OK to rumble!

I used MQL`VPS easy to use and not expencive....You just copy your MT4 and turn off auto on chart on your mt4 and done...I am running my new EA on demo for another week before going live and the reason its proffiteble is because i use accountmanager to trail to BE+3 at 10 and trail to 10 bye 18...And also does good entrys...Its not a grid has SL/TP....The grids usually dies at one time,but there are good ones that you just withdrae all the time and box profits..

Your EA sounds interesting. Maybe we can swop ideas in the future. Thanks yes I probably will get that VPS!

I use a windows based vps with webbrowser acces... It's easy at work, as I can trade everywhere now with internet acces... If interested drop me a pm...

Thanks Patje. If you mean being able to operate it from one's Android phone, that sounds very useful!

Actually never tried on my phone , but I can open it via Chrome or safari etc... This way I can use a full functional desktop platform via a webpage like a webtrader

I removed the semafor indi that takes a lot of computer power and its a repainting no good indi anyway and set up 5 major pairs with 3 pips boxes (EU;UJ) to 5 pip boxes (GJ) renkos and i am to scalp for one box on them with tight stop until late afternoon i will trade DOW with a 3 loss a day stop so will trade until stop hits 3 times......So now my whole mindset will be to follow my rules and NOT MOVE THE STOPLOSS when price are going near it and that is super hard for me because i have problem accepting losses.....So i will go trew every trade in my mind concentrate and not deviate from my plan....So lets see tomorrow if i can do it....If that makes me in a loss for the day so be it....

Did not feel for trading much today,but i took a few small scalps and after changing from 3-5 pips boxes on my major pairs i have scrolled back and after a turn 8 to 9 out of 10 are followed with another box in same direction as the turn so if only scalping one box a high hitrate and with the same amount of pips on stoploss i think i can turn up the leverage after doing this for a while....But i will also filter them with the MACD divergence and support ressistence levels...Also my EA`s demo results for last 15-20 hours trading 3 major pairs...MRDFX has again removed he`s TE nothing wrong to mess up and start over it is hard to take 5% everyday so you risk more to get back what lost i needed a new way to look at it so i need to take what i feel for and try to have positive results most days and push it only if confident and today i was not confident so will get at it Monday...

Guys I decided to go free trial! Just demo trading today and setting everything up.

Conditions today not good most pairs are ranging
Well!!!!Done for the day a bit over 4% scalping slow and steady forex pairs awerage 6% a day for 4 days.....Dow is fast and fun,but easy to get stop hit so i wlll try this week to take small scalps on my 4 Forex pairs....And i was almost following my rules with disiple,but need to get even better....

Looks like i am the only one left here in the challenge.....Not proud of myself today i moved my stop and opened multiple possision so i needed to recover with some huge trades that i where pretty sure would give me 2-3 pips and they did....Sometimes there is a range inside a box from almost top to bottom and you can shave some pips of everytime it goes up and down often goes up and down 6-7 ore more times so pretty sure bet,but nothing is.....So i need to reset for tomorrow and focus even more...The system is proffiteble if i can only stick to the rules...The good ting is that i have a awerage of almost 6% a day so i am on route for the challenge...even i had to redeposit after a big mess i did with crazy trading....I am to make it this time..

You're not the only one left, I'm still alive and kicking although I had to do some restarts and had some personal stuff to take care of. This challenge is not as easy as it seems!

Sorry to hear that!
I am going to fund today.

Apart from testing the EA I have also been looking at the simple strategy of only trading momentum. If one is involved in this kind of challenge it's absolutely vital to trade only when momentum is strong. I suppose that applies anytime but when you can't afford too many mistakes, it's absolutely vital to stay out of the market when momentum is weak. Overtrading is also a NO NO!
Then comes the question of trading counter-trend like today with GU and GJ. In my view it's better to stay out and not trade counter-trends because they are not smooth but if the momentum is strong I suppose one can.

Anyway here is my "momentum" template. It's very simple. Just take the CCI indi which is momentum indi (a lot of people don't realise that!) and set it to period 50 then add the 200 ema and 10 or 12 ema. Really it's simply a matter of trading ONLY when the period line is below or above the 100 levels. Do NOT trade when the period line is in between the 100 levels and of course NEVER open a buy trade when the period line is below the 100 level or a sell trade when the period line is ABOVE the 100 level.

Lastly for those who lost money, just check your losing trades against those rules/parameters that I have outlined above. You'll see very quickly where you went wrong!

Also changes of session very often bring changes of momentum and direction. Which is why I use session lines!

The European morning is very often nice and then when New York opens, things get messy. Not always but very often!!
