Dude, there is no correlation between bitcoin and the eurusd.

There may be at some point if you look at the specific hour or so...who knows

I did not say positive or negative correlated. I said there is no correlation between bitcoins, cryptos and currencies at all. There is no correlation between EURUSD and bitcoins, negative or positive. No correlation all together. Yes that is the chart comparing EURUSD and BTC USD on a a daily chart. Just looking from that you can see that there is no correlation positive or negative. Not sure what are you talking about, but there is no correlation between those two.

It seems to me you don't fully understand the concept of correlation and negative correlation. If you do, then you should stop using the word 'correlation' when I have clearly said 'negative correlation'. There is a difference, and that difference must be noted to avoid creating confusion.

Now, is the negative correlation strong? No. But it is enough to make it worth paying attention to in my opinion. If you see no value in this, then that's Ok. But I do.

Not picking on you, but you need to work better on those values. There is no correlation between EURUSD and BTCUSD, positive and negative. None, zero, it is not there.

Here it is some correlation between BTCUSD and S&P500

Of course there is. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it isn't there.

Again, you can't just pull up a single chart like that and make a conclusion. You have to take a closer look using multiple time frames.

There is way too much knit picking in this thread! Especially when it comes to people addressing ideas I share. I can tear many of the ideas posted in here apart if I wanted to, but I choose not to, because I don't want to give people a hard time. It would be nice if people in here would show me the same courtesy.

you cant say there is no correlation. there has been period which correlation coeff was between 0.5 to 0.7 (moderate correlation as the range is between +1.0 to -1.0) between BTCUSD and DXY. right now its negative 0.39 on daily chart

I will not stretch this as it makes no sense. There is no correlation between EURUSD and bitcoin. Trade safe.

I was comparing EURUSD not DXY. Pay attention to what I wrote and shared. Not seeing any correlation on DXY either.

To have studied mathematics i do understand correlation

Hope you understand that correlation means there is a "link" between the move of one asset to another

Positive = both move the same way
Negative = they move different way

And the current correlation (looking at 4 years) is -8,3%. Correlation is negative but WEAK (near 0) meaning no correlation

If you do use BTC to trade EU, and if it works for you, then its perfect.

Hope its more clear now

there you go (btcusd and dxy)

you dont see any correlation? sorry but this is a statisticl calculation. you can ignore the science but you can always check correlation coeff using simple tools.

the correlation coeff changes depending on your time frame and the number of bars used in calculation. you can always play around with numbers

When it comes to trading, you should know that negative correlation can change to positive correlation over time, and vice versa. Also, I already mentioned the negative correlation isn't strong, but it is worth paying attention to in my opinion. One would have to follow it closely to see the value in this. I wouldn't expect you to do that, because I know you have a very strong disliking towards BTC. I can relate to your feelings there. But I am not going to ignore the information just because BTC annoys me.

So lets say 0,5. So 50% of chance to have dxy rising when btc does. Its like a coin tossing then

But if it works for the people, so be it

You have a strong argument, and you are right. It is like a coin toss, and does not make sense basing trading analysis between BTC and currencies when it is like a coin toss. Either way no correlation between those and it is a waste of time, trying to analyze it.

I'm not arguing. but people have to educate themselves before expressing strong opinions. If someone refers to correlation, there is an equation that can give you the exact number. a good corrlelation is above 0.7 or -0.7 (for negative ones)

You are playing on the words then. We talk about strong correlation since the beginning dude.

I would prefer and look at correlation above 80%. Bu its up to any traders to choose its poison

Maybe you need to educate yourself before posting arguments that don't make sense. BTC does not correlate with currencies positive and negative, there is your education. You learned something new today.
