I think the data compliments each other. Look at COT for general direction, and look for opportunities to enter a trade using the Order Book (and other things).

I guess so, but i find "the less the better" the best way to trade/invest

I am curious. Since you rely so heavily on the COT report, Non-Commercial longs far exceed shorts. What made you decide to go short?

again... cot report is today already 6 days old. In times like these, when there has been havoc on tje markets. You cant image that maybe the longs took profit already on friday? I like the cot report also, but just be aware that it is not the ”truth”

Of course it's the truth.

And I don't solely rely on the COT report to make trading decisions. The COT report is useful for seeing the bigger picture. That's how you need to look at it.

It comes out every Tuesday for institutions. We the retail traders can see it every Friday. So it is 3 days old. And yes, COT reports do matter. Looking at the charts, institutional levels, where they are buying/selling, and looking at COT reports, it gives you a clear picture if the market is going up, down or sideways.

I only look at the disaggregated report with dealers/assets managers/money managers

This current short for the week is a based on other currencies as well.

You should put together an ebook explaining in detail how you use data from the COT report for trading, and show examples of how it worked out. I would buy it (if the price is reasonable).
