Actually, it's a moot point. You correctly said that trading is an art, but on the other hand it is working with a certain mathematical algorithm. And that's why the success is usually achieved by those who can not only select and determine the most effective algorithms for themselves, but also use them in practice. This is actually a difficult work, which consists of many components. And in my opinion, the success of a trader is determined not only by profit, but also by the ability to trade, as it is convenient for you, to subordinate the market in some sense to your laws. And not the last thing that matters is your emotional state, you have to be stress-resistant, without panic to cope with difficulties, and always be in search of interesting and non-standard solutions.

Of course I have seen successful traders, and a lot, but the main thing here is how to evaluate the success itself. Because for me personally it was a success that I was able to learn how to build regularities in the market and how to determine the connection between different assets. And of course there are traders who evaluate their success purely by profit, but here I would not focus on the amounts, I would emphasize on the percentage ratio. Because the amounts we all use are different, and you should not compare a trader with several hundred thousand and one who works with a capital of a thousand dollars, but believe me, the second one can be much more successful, if he can withdraw about three hundred or four hundred dollars from his account every month...

I concur with your position about not treating traders differently due to their account value. A win is a win and % return doesn't care about your account size. Yes, many will say that it isn't the same to trade in a small account compared to a large one, but that depends on the mentality of the trader. One should also risk the same amount per trade no matter if it is small or large. I see people copy trading on mql5 people with 10x less than what's they have themselves to risk , but they do so because the consistency is there.

I have NEVER seen a successful retail forex trader.
Seen lot's of "flash in the pan" ... eventually they all crash and / or it's a scam.
Retail forex is a circus and a casino and should not be taken seriously.
