Alligator Linear weighted can be useful ( because clearer ?) for following the trend ( one usage of the FLD) but NOT to calculate precise target price because such calculations are based on present price crossing price projection in the future of 1/2 period of the observed cycle in price.

FLD as you explained is very good system ,no prolem.

Alligator is not FLD i agree with you .

OAPDave want to change simple moving average shifted with Alligator ,why not !!

I was basing it some of yours posts before, I was just using the angles for support and resistance, as it passed down the last angle to confirm down bias and breakthrough the midlle centered moving average and bands were turning down i went for sell, But I will probably shift to trading view as I cannot see the 24hr 1 min on my mt4 laptop, and I see you ise 24-1 min to view the overall trend and angle lines while I just used the last swing low to high. How do you determine what is the best time frame to trade from, lets say we trade a 1 min and we suddenly get a Parabolic move do you stay with that time frame or move to perhaps 15, 30 or 60 min to put the move into context, or indeed should you be having these time frames running in the background ?
p.s
Sorry just cannot get my head around FLD's on mt4, think it's just me being dumb

Dave the best is at the same time :

a) to move to the next higher Timeframe
b) to generate a chart shif by DOUBLING the Envelopes parameters

and to check what works the best for you

Notice that during the "Phase of Transition" between 2 solutions it can be useful to work with 2 different charts
