News trading discussion - continuation

I am interested in starting news trading. Just made an account here to make this post. I have been researching several services and websites but I just want to ask you if you are still doing this in 2020? and what service/programs are you using. I see you are still active and posting screenshots of succesful trades so you must be using something. Information about this is really scarce

The ones I've been looking into are:

fasteconomicnews.com
macrospike.com
newstrader.pro
fxnewskiller.com

and another proprietary machine-readable news wire which can be linked with the 'NewsAutoTraderPro' clicker or FIX API software from iticsoftware.com

I am leaning more towards this proprietary solution because so far but it's not cheap. I would still rather pay more if it's high quality and most effective.

From my current understanding, all of these cheap news trading tools are likely using illegal data feeds otherwise it's impossible for them to be priced so low. also the data has to be routed to them first rather than direct from the news source.

I actually have a question for you vvFish. I noticed that you had used fxnewskiller in the past but it appears they are 'down for maintenance' and when I emailed them they told me they are permenantly finished because news trading is apparantly dead and there's no profit anymore. They didn't say why though even after I asked repeatedly so I really don't understand.

When I found them it was December and I was sent Module 1 of their educational material. After lots of research that is by far the most informative document I've found about news trading. there are 2 more modules which I cannot access since their website is down and it's really frustrating me. I was wondering if you or anybody still has a copy of the pdf?

Also what exit strategies/EAs do you use?

Unfortunately, the service fxnewskiller.com does not work, but this does not stop me, since I took from them only the schedule of trading signals.
We take the same thing in the news calendar that publishes forexfactory.
Trading is conducted by a market order.
Entering the market two to five seconds in the right direction before the news is released.
The use of a minesweeper adviser has never failed.

An interesting change on the way. Next weeks NFP comes to mind.

This ban on common news outlets appears to be because news could be leaked fast unofficially through the common web channels.

Doesn't appear to suit someone (maybe doesn't suit the ones that already get the advance 'non-common web news outlets' first , just joking)


Won't affect my trading. If I trade around USA red news it is always AFTER the spikes (either up or down ... OR ... up & down )
