i went for long at 1.08381 because i could see the will retrace to the up before continue the down trend.what do you think please brother?

You may be right. We are long over due for a correction on this pair.

I'm already in this trade and ready to add more to it. There is a chance we may hit the gap before it goes up, however. But it could go up before this and eventually make its way back down again to fill the gap.

If it goes up from here, there is a high probability it will make its way up somewhere between the 38.2 and 61.8 fib range (possibly higher), and then go back down from there to fill the gap. Of course, it's possible that gap might not get filled at all. There are no promises of such a scenario. Technical Analysis is about probabilities, not absolutes.

That was kind of my point if you think about it. Of course it is best to buy low and sell high. There are times, however, let's say a multi day trade in a falling market, where you might see price falling from a high on the daily, and use the hourly to sell off a low consolidation break out. That can lead to a trade with low draw down. Probably needed to explain more and this type of discussion, where someone doesn't explain properly, happens a lot here. Lots of different ways to trade...

ZEW says that investor expectations fell on the feared negative effects of the coronavirus epidemic on world trade and expectations regarding the development of export-intensive sectors have dropped particularly sharply.

This basically just reaffirms the fragility of hopes of a recovery in the euro area to start the year and I reckon as long as virus concerns continue to reverberate across the market, that should continue to weigh on the single currency until we get more clarity.

It means they now have an excuse to fill the gap. I believe this is more about market manipulation than anything else.
