The general idea is not to sell at new lows and not to buy at new highs, but to wait for a retracement and then react to whatever the market does.

It's OK to add to a position or to ride the momentum of a trend, so to speak. But other things need to be brought into play under such conditions, like volume. Volume is key to knowing when to get out of a trade and when to get into a trade and when to not trade at all.

Forex trading is decentralized, OTC trading. There is no single place to look at to see the actual volume of a currency pair. That's why it's often said that the volume provided by your broker is useless. Institutional Forex trading volume, the volume that matters and moves the markets.

Granted, volume in the Forex market isn't perfect. However, it's still useful. Studies have shown tick volume is almost as good as real volume, meaning, there isn't much of a difference that it should be of great concern. Thus, the argument that "volume provided by your broker is useless" is moot.

Perhaps if you learn how to read volume correctly, you will then see how helpful it can be for trading in the Forex market! I find it very useful.

You are delusional about the forex volume. I will copy the explanation one more time. Read it over and over again.

Again, studies have shown tick volume isn't that far off from real volume in the Forex market. Not enough to be concerned about it. Did you even click on the link to read the article?

Therefore, the point that volume in the Forex market is "useless" is moot.

Just because you don't know how to read volume correctly, it doesn't mean it is useless to people who do know how to read volume correctly. If you knew how to read volume correctly, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Because I can read volume correctly, I am able to use it in the Forex market for trading signals.

Tick volume isn't perfect, but it is useful to me.

There is no way to read volume in forex market. I've attached the chart, take a look at it it makes no sense with volumes. Like any other indicator. When it shows up or down move, it already happened and it is over. Learn to trade off the charts. Put few trend lines manually, most important find fresh supply/demand institutional zones and you will do just fine. Again, you can claim all you want about the volume, there is no way to read it in forex. If you think you are reading the volume or you know it, than you have a big problem and you are just gambling. Learn to trade like real institutional traders do.
