{quote} You've probably had this answer a load of times. Im sure you have heard the stats that 95% of people lose their money or give up. So if there are 5% of people that are successful and maybe 1% of those people that use Forex factory, You're very unlikely to get someone to show you their methods for everyone to see. I have been in the game for 10 years and I treat my methods like rare precious diamonds that I wouldn't want to share. It has taken blood sweat and tears before i found consistency. Everyone needs to go through the same before they...

Totally agree with this statement, my story is very similar to your's by the sound of it, green pips to all........cheers.

Fact is, you hang out a lot with 99.8% loser friends in your pivot thread....so....

You have never delivered the smallest piece of hard evidence that you are what you claim to be. You openly bragged around with all kind of stuff so it's easy to verify some of your claims. 55 years should be enough to grow up.

Retail forex is a negative sum game for losers.

Appreciate this thread a lot. Its true that bots has taken the place of speculative trading. however in certain cases it has made the market more predictable as the volume of money invested through automated systems is continously increasing.

I personally am on the come up of creating an algorthimic trading system with very minimal mathematical background. Despite the obstacles that lies ahead the simple strategies (yet discrete) seem to fair off the best.

Have hope and keep working.

{quote} Yes, it's still the same game for the most part (same patterns)..............except for one thing! There are no speculative traders in the banks anymore! These traders are long gone. Now the robots play this game (over 70% of the speculative volume in FX) and the creators of these robots are the new superstars. Manual trading in principle is obsolete!
Ignored
I really can't care less if it was done by supervised robots or by manual trading, the results are quite the same.

For a successful trader there are two main obstacles to overcome:

- a very good and solid method

and the much harder part:

- systematically add to winning positions (instead of averaging down)

I've seen several successful strategies on forex and even binary options, problems is retails are way too focused on technical analysis and they avoid the key principles that institutionals focus on, which are fundamental analysis, trading psychology and risk management.

It's gambling only if you gamble!

To gamble means to BET without proven winning system or to rely on chance and luck.

To have proven winning system means to have backtested and statistically sound methods with positive expectancy per trade(bet).

If you bet without proven winning system, then your bets are random and the expectancy per trade is always negative due to friction cost.

Most market participants are gamblers.
Stock traders, Futures traders, Forex traders, All traders. Most are gamblers and they don't even know it.
The only reason why stock traders appear a bit more successful overall is because of the persistent bullish bias in the stock market.
The bullish bias in itself provides positive expectancy as long as you hold on to your investments and stay away from the tops.

All forms of investments are speculative. Life is speculative by definition. I m sorry but unless you are buying an index fund, you are speculating. Picking winning stocks is not different from forex trading. It's trading. All market participants are gamblers , so are people starting up new businesses.
When you see it, BET big.

I'm sorry but I have to question you regarding back testing a method. How is it relevant moving forward? If you understand the market and its behavior, you will know that backtesting a method is useless, pointless, waste of time.
You will be what you will to be

The real fallacy of Technical Analysis is that those who claim Technical Analysis does not work have not done the work themselves to figure it out. Thus, the "fallacy" is the presupposition contained in the decision to declare Technical Analysis a Fallacy.

{quote} Hi there, this is Mingary the perennial loser I like to follow the life cycle of trading systems on Forex Factory from start to finish. Pehaps one day I will start my own. So far nothing out of the ordinary, your trading narrative does read just like another half lived / half lied saga ("Would have, could have, should have", only show the winners hide the losers... etc..). This is nothing new, they all do it. A believer will act on what they think they read and money will be lost. What happened to the draw down that started around may 2019...

You deflect from his original point -- which I believe was that people should avoid losers (like you) and seek out people who are trading well. You attack him with unproven assumptions. One thing worse than a loser is a smug, arrogant loser. I wanted to jump on your pathetic ass again just to remind everyone who and what you really are. Btw, how are you coming with that magic loser recovery fund that you were working on?

A demo account ... ?!?!?. Why don't you try $100 to $1000 real. Perhaps I'm missing something. You've replied to several threads with this video.. for a demo account. Why???
