There is NO gap up(its just your broker, maybe some other, too). There are many brokers, they have different spreads during different times, so some may show gaps, some don't. Its not something the market cares about. Its you think about it...its laughable that some bank would care about such non-sense. Retailers keep obsessing with "gaps", only they may see, way too much.

Will still keep a look on that gap. I thought it was going down to 1.10xx but that big green candle shows possibility that it will go up around that gap area before heading back down. Will keep a look on it but meanwhile will trade other pairs. Trade safe.

What gap?

What are Gaps?
Gaps are sharp breaks in price with no trading occurring in between. Gaps can happen moving up or moving down. In the forex market, gaps primarily occur over the weekend because it is the only time the forex market closes. Gaps may also occur on very short timeframes such as a one-minute chart or immediately following a major news announcement.

Examples of when gappage can occur include:
When economic data is released – particularly if it contains data that the market isn’t expecting.
As major news events are announced, particularly global and/or unexpected news When trading resumes after a weekend or holiday – especially if major news is announced in that period.

Why are they important?
Gaps can give an idea of market sentiment. When a market gaps up, that means there were zero traders willing to sell at the levels of the gap. When a market gaps down, that means there were zero traders willing to buy at the levels of the gap. There are also important to be aware of because it is possible to gap past a stop order and get filled at worse price than your stop order.
Gaps sometimes result in corrective price action. In other words, after the gap occurs prices have a tendency to reverse and “fill” the gap.

So how do I use them?
If there is a gap, generally that is a signal to stay out of the market. Gaps can show strength in the direction of the gap or they can “close” by having prices move in the opposite direction of the gap to at least where the gap began. If there is a gap immediately before the entry of a trade, it may be wise to cancel the trade.

What Is Slippage?
Slippage is the difference between the expected price of a trade and the price at which the trade actually executes. Market gaps can cause slippage which may affect stop and limit orders – meaning they will be executed at a different price from that requested.


Market cares about everything. So do traders. I would suggest to go back to babypips website and do the whole program course again to understand a trading overall. Trade safe.

I have been trading for years. This is my full time job. Thank you but I don't need luck, I have planned this business and career for over 10 years. I am in this business and it is working great. You have zero arguments. Where is the gap on my broker? And I don't see any gaps on any of my brokers. Just because you use a shitty broker with fake numbers and no real connection to the market, doesn't mean your "gap" has any meaning.

Go and relax. I use a local Canadian broker. They have been around forever and they do just fine. Go get some fresh air. You are very angry. Go to the gym or something you have a lot of anger inside of you.

Long term EURUSD analysis. I would only sell.

Ok EURUSD did not close above 1.1215 on weekly chart but it did on daily chart. So we can expect a pull back and then resume of trend. Here is my analysis:

Are you tracking the EURUSD this week? Consider this technical perspective of a swing trader. The weekly time frame shows the market operating within an inner falling channel (red). Two weeks ago, price action printed a bullish candlestick that broke above the channel resistance trendline. But an indecision candlestick was printed last week, indicating a slowdown of bullish momentum.

On the daily time frame, price action printed bullish candlesticks on Tuesday and Wednesday last week that took market operation above the resistance trendline of the falling channel (red) seen on the weekly time frame. But on Thursday and Friday, bears resisted the move with the printing of bearish candlesticks taking price action back to within the falling channel (red). However, the bearish candlestick printed on Friday retraced northwards to nestle on the channel resistance trendline, resulting in being a long lower-tailed candlestick; indicating that bulls are still influential in the market. We should await how price action handles the area in the early part of this week.

A move above 108.11 is a very bullish sign , for me.
