Hopefully this doesn't upset people too much but I did tear up. We've had devastating Bushfires(WildFires) here in Australia, many people have died, many building destroyed and around 500 million animals perished too. It's a national disaster something never before experienced here in Australia on this scale.
This photo sums up the tragedy, juvenile Kangeroo fleeing the fires caught in a fence.....adult Kangeroos can jump higher than your car but the juvenile could not jump the fence or didn't see cause of the smoke

Thanks Akim, bushfire season started easily a full two months before the official time, we've had a devastating drought that's been going on for a while now and being the driest habitable continent on Earth everything is just ready to ignite.....I don't call this a drought I call it a 'Drying'. In our lifetimes we might not see rains here like we used too.
For years state and federal governments have ignored the warning so hopefully this is a wakeup call they can't ignore.
Hows this our Prime Minister took a holiday to Hawaii for Christmas right in the middle of this frickin crisis. I don't think he can survive politically now, he'll always be remembered as the leader who abandoned his country when needed most...
