Miss that short at Gold
just got free from work
buddy , correct me if i am wrong, price stay below 1464, still bearish right?
but bear need to take out 1458 for more low.

we seller want that bull chandle stay before new one open and push down..

Hi Rudrax, simple, your SL and TP will not be triggered at the open, the profit will continue to increase if price... and loss will get bigger because your SL & TP have not been hit / triggered. Hope this helps. Remember EURCHF 1.2000 LEVEL that SNB said they would protect, this situation unfolded.

1) when the market opens up over the Stop-Loss level for a Short Position ......position closes as the stop level is activated

what happens to Take Profit level (placed on Friday right before closing the market)
3) when the market opens up below the Take Profit for a Short Position....position closes in profit either at the profit target or with benefit of slippage at the price the market opens(this depends on the broker. FXCM for instance gives the benefit of slippage)
4)when the market opens up over the level for a Long Position?.......same as in 3) above. position closes in profit sometimes with benefit of slippage
5.) What happens to Buy & Sell Limit Orders when market opens up below or over Limit Orders levels respectively....positions get activated accordingly. sometimes at target prices and at other times with benefit of slippage depending on broker.

I have personally experienced all these scenario in my trading career. Based on personal experience, I would say close all active and pending positions before market closes on Friday. On some occasions I made fantastic profits leaving positions open but I have also been badly burnt.
