1st need to know is what to support us to catch that falling knife?
which time frame?
don’t catch a falling knife blindly mate
it slaughtered your account fast..
for example i give you from gold yesterday..
earlier drop but already 2 day at daily have bull setup waiting..
so if see like i catch a falling knife there but i have a reason to do so..
take care...

If play oil, you better use 4H or daily spot support lvl,
it sometime is wild mode , huge up and huge down
that why i set pending at 55.15/55 , 55.5 is i manual enter but seem is bad decision, but some set up there , my stop is below 54.8 , you can watch daily , 54.8-55.2 may hold
and weekly Low MA 5, it failed break 58.XX
so back down, maybe next week wll try again 58 or more down,
i hv short spx and out with few pips,
not dare to short nas cause suffer big loss from it
But regret now it really drop to 8400 same i think

Wow, looking at your method akim0895...

Every failed trade I had this week was money for you! Very simple and effective method, I've back-tested the last two months of it, I like it.

Enzee, you have to know what is driving oil fundamentally.

Do you think that Goldman Sacks, JP Morgan, BP or Shell are taking billions of dollars worth of positions on oil without knowing what is going on in the oil market. The people that I know stack the probabilities totally in their favour before taking a position. And it all starts with understanding the drivers of the asset.

At the moment everyone is over producing oil (bar Saudi Arabia), oil inventories were up two days ago, China US trade have taken a backward step following Trump's Hong Kong signing, plus there was some negative news from Russia who do not want to cut further next week at the next Opec meeting (that was a shock) etc...…..

So you build up a picture first of what is going on (this will give you are bias on whether you should be long/short or flat)...then add in your technicals

Back testing and analyzing price action. Sharing this for any points/perspectives.

This is a scenario where your 4h buy entry would fail...and a reason why you should always look at higher TF to get more clues.
As someone mentioned in another forum, learning to see the trees from the forest.

This week and in the past, I was getting burned and trapped by the markets. It made me re-evaluate my current system and adapt...or deal with it. I hate sitting in DD (as i've been using no SL).. It has it's pro's and cons...but being fairly new... though I have the patience...I don't have the skill (yet) to fully exploit and benefit from that method.

I'm going to be actively implementing Akim's methods and placing in SL...learning better entry execution and analysis of PA.

I've attached the first of many analysis on back testing entries. Feedback is welcome.

as long we can’t control our emotional,confident n greedy
so we will keep circle around at same place..
not going anywhere..

last blame to system n methods that not good
changing others system n methods
not good again..
change again n again
also circle at same round
till out of money..
lastly said...
forex is a bad for us
only for big company or big players
