This actually doesn't look so bad. With combination with C indicator we would get more entries. But I have to ask because I didn't use RSI before, if we look at the past setups is that the "reality", does RSI re-paint in the past? Or once the candle closes the RSI line doesn't move? So that I know if these RSI crosses are valid or not.
Anything above the line is an uptrend, below the line is a downtrend.

RSI never repaint, same for KDJ, MacD etc.

Ofcourse there is a signal. On the candle close after the cross of the RSI. And the C signal came many candles later even before the huge news drop.

I'm not saying we would replace C indicator, it's just more entries using RSI, but this needs testing, but for now it looks solid.

I wen't through yesterdays potential RSI entry strategy provided by user Mintz(post: 572).

All of these are only looking at the H4 slope(up,down) and the RSI strategy. I have uploaded the pictures to imgur so I won't trash here with 21 pictures.

Looking back in time, these look like winners. But in real time, this is more difficult. Some of the pictures show rsi crosses that you would have traded real time based on rsi strat, but the next candle(s) makes rsi cross the line again and the signal would be invalid. So you would have to sit in front of the screen all day to check it.

I'd rather stick to the original strategy. Only look at the chart when arrow appears and ride the wave after it started. Less risk, but also less reward off course.

Thanks for the testing you are doing and your effort is much appreciated.

It looks like a better option would be to watch it it in live to offset the effects of tma repainting. Such results would give more confidence...

There is no way with a simple oscillator indi like RSI and trading pullback u can make a good strategy, they didnt create Elliott way, market profile, ichimoku cloud... for fun. Mintz is another clone trying to spam here, a newbie in ff and come directly to a thread in member' lounge about scammer, instead of some threads in trading system ?

Could very well be.

The easiest way to test this would be to get a RSI alert on cross 80/20 on M15.

Need alerts if price crosse 80/20 and returns back and candle closes after 80/20 I get alert.

JoeeF is doing an incredible favour in creating a EA for the BTM community.

This thread still needs to continue though.

We should still look at developing an EA with the idis found here by aaven, cfudge, trieuvhh et all just in case the BTM indis should stop working. I think we have enough here to actually make improvement on the current system and at the same time work out the reversal strategy for this system.

So I hope you guys still continue to be active in the thread.

Hello everyone,

Having been quite frustrated at what BTM did to us and the indicators, and more so the realization of how hard it is to crack the current .exe, am more than happy to finally land on this thread. It's a pain reliever.

As we progress, I would request we consider the previous requests at BTM thread to have an arrow when price touches the opposite band for reversal trading.

Reversal trades are not always reliable. Look at gold yesterday. Went through the lower band, came up a bit and dropped again.
