if you are trading TMS then there are simple and effective ways to identify choppy and consolidating conditions in each of the trends above pic.
it is pointless to shout "don't trade" but you must first know and consistently be able to identify the market type conditions to trade.

I am day trading 30m charts. I would say probably intermediate. Currently in a GBPCAD long at 1.66946 with a TP at 1.67298

before I go into reviewing Oct 14,

right now with London session in progress, we may have a breakout of the recent rally high at BRN 0.8700.
look at H4 and you will get the bigger picture.

as we all know, TMS 5-Method was developed by Big E by blending several components from Craig Harris Stochastics Method trading GBPUSD M15 and Dean Malone ' Synergy system and created the 5-Method. He posted many links to Synergy tutorial in his old thread however the videos are no longer accessible at the ComapssFX website and Dean Malone is also no longer posting at that website.

Some of those videos are available on youtube.

These two will be helpful to address how to avoid trading in choppy and consolidation market type conditions.

With M15H1 I manage to avoid most consolidation.
Yesterday DE30 was in a consolidation. Made three trades and they went nowhere. Stopped trading for the whole day.
If a trade does not move into profit within 15min get out.

DE30 Oct 14 was H4 consolidation easily seen, but when trading M30 there are trading opportunities using the consoldiation range high low as support and resistance.

It is always the same basic rules following Big E's Post#261 and Post#647. There were two reversal setups -one sell and one buy within the consolidation range.

Keep It Simple: REVERSAL candle using HA candle price action with 5EMA, Stoch cross for the REVERSAL candle setup and the TDI green will confirm the momentum, after the Stoch cross, it will be the confirm direct between 80 and 20 levels....

Maybe sometime later there will be a breakout above 0.8700, but for now, I see it overdue to drop. Tune in to M15...

I don't see any M15 TDI cross signal where you have your sell entry. Am I wrong or you did another type of entry not on M15.
H1 cross much later as I see you your H1 chart.
And my H4 the HA candles PA is above its 5EMA.

Are you trying to pick top and bottom again?
I also see you increase your trade lot size. It used to be 0.1 lot.

Now we see M30 small HA candle and did not close outside the PAC Yellow Brick Road... wait for the HA to close above the PAC High for buy ... if yiu are trading a potential breakout.

Is this hindsight trading? trade what we see active candles....

on chart technical analysis is always hindsight because I use bar/candlestick analysis. No one can predict what price bars/candles would do, was wait for the close of every price period and analyse our charts for market type conditions hence look for trade setups according to the method's rules.

look at my chart again, I highlight now the H4 period of the rally and when the last H4 closed, the cext H4 periods range became small within the high-low of the H4 end of rally candle. It needs a minimum two H4 periods to see a change in market type conditions. In this case, we see big H4 candle and small H4 candles ... enought to call it range consolidation, so we know that we are in consolidation range (re Post#647). Once we know this is the current market type condition, we have to decide is we want to trade H4 or H1 or smaller timeframe like M30 or M15 and even possible M5, same TMS setup rules.

hope this explain what I see. If you still have doubt, please help the people here and post your charts and explain how you trade.

I am sure people reading this thread look forward to experts like you.

that video has already proved that your M15H1 VLine is losing method/strategy.

it is very clear to us when you first posted that same video.

running that in MT4 backtester is not live trading. Run that using the TDI in Post#25 and record that in live market.

you can continue to have fun with your backtesting.
