Sorry i was engrossed in some charts, have a google n look up - inner circle trader, used to be around FF in the old days. A VERY knowledgeable man, unbelievably talented..................

Sorry about my original post, it does not show "the curve". So instead I will posts a system with a 99.44% guarantee to always have a positive equity curve. Almost meaning you have to trade this exact setup with this pair and fund your account properly and you may have an occasional big draw down if you have really bad timing.

Open an acoount with 4,000.00 units (whatever your currency is) does not matter real or demo. During an inactive time (no red or orange news reports) open .1 in EURUSD pair, that is 1 microlot, either long or short does not matter.

Put in take profit order as 10 pips.
Put a stop loss order 30 cents above order open price for short, below for long.
Repeat process after take profit is hit.

As example today

I open account with $4,000.00 live (or demo) account

First trade,
Short EURUSD at 1.1068
Stop loss 1.4068
Take profit 1.1058
repeat process after target is hit

There you go. Will it be positive equity curve? Most likely Yes. Will you make a living trading this system? No way!

Painting the tape will make a successful trading system but little, if any, profit will come.

You might get real unlucky and pick the wrong direction at a top or bottom and your trade just sits open for years. But you will have positive equity curve and claim your system is successful according to your definition of success.

You spent three whole years looking for a successful strategy? If, before you spent 3 years looking for a successful strategy, someone had told you that you needed to spend eight to ten years learning about all things related to the forex before you'd be qualified to begin your search, would you have still tried? Is it possible, even likely, that you're not qualified to evaluate any strategies, because you dont have the skills to evaluate them? Isn't it true that you spent three years proving that you dont know enough to make any strategy work? In retrospect, shouldn't you admit that you wasted those three years searching for something that you are utterly unqualified to evaluate?

It's been my experience here in FF, when someone starts describing the forex as being impossible and random, especially random, then that person is hopelessly lost. You need to find something else to do.

First of all, if a Forex "educator" wont trade live in front of you then i'd say run (don't walk) in the other direction. Second, if they are using any sort of lagging study, run faster or get a car! Some of these clowns who post screenshots will actually go as far as opening 2 demo accounts and taking opposite direction trades and stacking one position so it looks like multiple successful positions. Most don't even know how to really trade and just make money on you both on the "education" fee and commissions on the broker they recommend you use.

The next issue is indicators. Pretty much every indicator is a lagging study which uses past history of what price has done and tries to predict what price will do. Unfortunately none of them ever say what order flow or (real) volume is doing, and i haven't seen very much analysis of what the ticks are doing. Without knowing these you're unable to know when the flow of the market has gone against you or is still in line with your position. So you can use static TPs and SLs but the market is dynamic and can change on a whim. Personally I don't think anyone who uses (lagging)indicators can truly be profitable. I'll tell you right now, the banks and institutions aren't using RSI's and bollinger bands and MacDs and this nonesense. They look at order flow and what price is doing 'right now'.

Then you have the actual brokers. I wont even get into the ridiculous games they play. B-booking is only the tip of the iceburg.


The deck is stacked against us retail traders. It's why statistics produce numbers like 95% of traders not being profitable. The banks are the one's we're trading against and the banks aren't going to make it easy for us to succeed. If you're going to make it, you've got to do something diff than the 95%.

It's just a clue. You just need to find and test out some no nonsense forex strategy. Just search for the best indicator online, the Average True Range (ATR).

To the OP and everyone else cherry-picking:

Most successful traders have been trading for a lot longer than three years. I've been at it for five and I'm just now seeing regular profits. One thing you need to realize is that most people don't want to give out their hard work for free. It took me five years to start winning, the last thing I'm going to do is give those five years away for nothing.

You want success? Stop asking for handouts and keep experimenting. Otherwise quit. But the likelihood of successful trader dropping in and being like "Oh hey there here's my winning system" is pretty much null.

This game isn't for everyone. Just my two cents.

Yes, five years till I became profitable. The badge you can now where is a Bronze trader as you are making some profits.
At Ten to twelve years you may become a Gold badge owner where you are making consistent profits at around a decent wage level.

I wouldn't hold out for a "trading system" that works consistently and I definitely wouldn't hand over any money on a regular basis to sign up with someone offering to teach you how to be a successful trader. There is plenty to learn that you can get for free online or learn from books. Once you've filtered out most of what you don't want to use find a simple strategy that you can stick to. It can literally be based on trading from support and resistance (nothing else) if you want. Risk to reward ratio is also critical, 1:2 minimum, no exceptions. Don't exit early.
It's such a huge subject with different variables it's hard to give advice and to take it as there are so many different styles and variables.
Keep at it.
Have I ever met a successful trader? Yes, he was an older gentleman, retired but still traded, mostly gold and a couple of currencies. He wasn't trying to sell me anything, he wasn't a multi-millionaire, he wasn't boastful. I overheard him talking about trading to a friend whilst sitting in a restaurant and decided I'd go up and say hello, introduce myself as someone who was learning to trade. We had a brief chat and I asked if I could meet up with him and pick his brain about trading sometime. To my surprise he was happy to. We met a few times for drinks and I asked him for advise hoping I would gain some golden nugget of info that would help me. There wasn't one.
