Pure luck as there was nothing suggestibg a top there . It was a high risk trade that paid off
the actual entry Would have been several bars later once the top was confirmed
i have been in this game 18 years now and have learnt one thing trend is not your friend it's your lover . If you are going to try and pick tops or bottoms wait for consolidation not enter on one bar ... remember Rome was not built in one day . From an experienced traders point of view that was a super high risk trade that paid off.
To trade a safe top first you have to see supply enter the market .. in vsa we call it an upthrust in candles it's an inverted hammer . Then we want to see market move down a touch then an upmove with a lower high than the upthrust . If smart money are going to ten a market they do not do it on one bar , it could take hours or even days to turn .
Take me a look at daily us30 on your mt4 and see the weeks long consolidation prior to this large up move that may take out all time new highs and you will understand what I am talking about
the other thing you have to remember ... the trader posted the chart after the trade worked out it seems . For that one thatdid work out I am sure he/she has 10 that did not . As traders we have to find a method of trading that provides consistent profits and that we are confident in . I day trade mostly indexes oil and gold using open range break outs and volume spread analysis

before that green chandle there is a bear chandle right?
so..
the bulls chandle is a test chandle at my method
so i placing an entry right before the test chandle closing and going open new one..
that why its give a top price for now..at monday dunno..
i follow h1 setup so i wait before that chandle to close and jump in market..
i don’t care m15,30 chandle
because my entry follow h1..

they essentially take sells off resistance on daily or buys off support and keep stops tight . It's a 50/50 trade . As long as you let winners run and cut losses quickly you can make money at the end of the year .
the other thing that increases the traders risk .. let's take that eur example . They assumed that the price would reverse off daily resistance on that up bar which it did .. luck .
In order to reduce the risk place the sell stop under the low of thd60 min that they entered on .., IF the market is not going to reverse your order will never be hit .. if market reverses your order is hit and you have a nice safe entry, entering at the high of the bar is a bit like playing Russian roulette and increasing risk exponentially .

i’m just a newbie and everyday is a learning phase for me
hope i can learn from you too in the future mate..
also hoping you can drop some of your trading ideas or methods here..so can help lots of newbie out there to learn a save way to trading..

i trade using volume spread analsysis .. the relationship of the bar high , low and close and the volume associated with it .. essentially trading in the shadow of the smartmoney
I was mentored by the guy over at tradeguider.com , all ex syndicate traders .
I also have a youtube channel where I post some trades and an telegram channel where I post live trades as I enter them ...
one of my last videos , going to get a bit more active in the coming weeks as I focused more on my trading and less on mentoring others

stop loss is important thing when i jump to the market
its help me to control my loss or avoid a big drawdown and re-consider where the price really want to go..
so when next trades taken its be a good one

same kind of set up in oil for 130 points yesterday also
overall on gold I am preferring sells into test 1495 . If that breaks then we could see a deep correction of $150 to $200.
