By the way, this is just to help someone out there who was once like I was.

I used to be REALLY confused about this Risk On/Risk Off thingy. It NEVER seemed to make any sense to me until I changed the meaning of the word "RISK" in my mind/head.

So now when I see RISK I simply replace it with the word COURAGE or CONFIDENCE.

If they say Risk On = It means COURAGE/CONFIDENCE On = Which means that traders are Optimistic and BUYing against the so-called "safe-haven" currencies (i.e. Buying the AUD or EUR or GBP or NZD, etc., against the USD or JPY (and sometimes the CHF)).

For our purposes as basket knights, what that means is a BUY basket since we trade mostly against the JPY "safe-haven" pair.

The reverse is true for RISK/COURAGE/CONFIDENCE Off seasons.

Hope that helped someone like it did me those many years ago.

You may want to check on your side.

The C5 offline Chart has Frozen too!

I have bad news - we just observed that the C5 offline charts created by the BasketCreator Indicator has ALSO frozen and now gives errors (*see attached image).

I will TRY to find a work around. If that is possible I will CERTAINLY post it in this thread.

Meanwhile, please allow me to renew my appeal to any coder willing to help us out by reviewing and updating the source code of the BasketCreating Indicator (i.e. the Basketv8 new format).

Honourned to have you here.

Yes my attention was brought to it and I was typing the above post to annouce this new developement to the basket knights.

This is the same error which occured while trying to create C14 offline charts. I mentioned just yesterday on our Skype group that it seemed the errors had to do with the Price on the offline charts going BELOW zero (0).

Below was what @disbellj wrote concerning this error (it might help coders out there help us out):

"Also good news is that the code for the C5 and C14 are the same, just user inputs changed and re-saved. The only thing I really see differently than my offline chart creator is mine doesn't use "Factor", but instead simply adds pips atbeginning and does not use a multiplier.

I did that so that although the values on chart are huge integers (not doubles), I wouldn't get a negative value:

ExtMapBuffer1_Close[bar] = CurrencyStartingPips+sum_A_Pair;
ExtMapBuffer1_Low[bar] = CurrencyStartingPips+sum_A_Pair_L;
ExtMapBuffer1_High[bar] = CurrencyStartingPips+sum_A_Pair_H;
ExtMapBuffer1_Open[bar] = CurrencyStartingPips+sum_A_Pair_O;
ExtMapBuffer1_Volume[bar] = sum_A_Pair_V;

The line of code that is the problem I bet is belowline where kk (which is added like I do currency pips above) is made negative.

Why negative? Why add a multiplier also? And if getting bad offline charts, just increase the starting pip values. The code is made more complicated and error-pronethat needs be. The adding pips could be a user input so that 10,000 starting value can easily be made into 100,000 starting value and bingo - no negative values, so good charts.

My charts which were made earlier than these (years before) had the negative OHLC problem and my fix was simple and I just told you about it:

// Change kk to -1300 ifHLOC values are less than 0.

Since I don't code I have no idea what da heck that means (lol) - BUT I want to believe that good coders can understand what that means.

One work around which can be used by C5 traders is the GBPJPY H4 chart.

In the "olden days" of basket trading it was discovered that the GBPJPY chart CLOSELY resembled the C5 offline chart. It was observed that where the GJ went the C5 mostly followed (or vice versa).

Open a GJ H4 chart and apply the Tidane Trend Template to see for yourself. As expected, the GJ H4 chart is currently signaling a SELL Basket too.

In a few hours, I will share an Expert Advisor which will FURTHER help with trading the Core5 and C14 - unfortunately because it is a commercial EA (though FREE) I will need to decide how to share it without incuring the wrath of the FF admin.

Hang tight Basket knights, help is most certainly enroute!

I have quite some experience and history in C# coding which is quite similiar to MQL and after working myself into MQL a bit i can contribute some more coding work maybe.

There was a little retrace-continuation on the m15 today but I found it too shallow to consider it as a good-enough discount. Price did not get close to my DZ, plus I also did not want to be caught on the wrong side.

I'll wait and see what tomorrow brings.

Good day basket knights,

I've received some error reports which occur when trying to create offline charts with brokers offering Suffixed/Prefixed pairs.

Please if you are having such issues let me know so that we can find a fix for it.

In the meantime a workaround would be to simply use a brokerage which quotes non-suffixed/non-prefixed pairs a "signal" mt4 instance and then trade on your live/main mt4 instance once you get a signal.

The "Discount" is still ongoing and can be viewed (as a Buy basket signal) on the m15 offline chart (*see attached m15 charts below). I'm still hoping it gets into the DZ of the H1 and H4 C5 charts.

*Note: This should NOT be misunderstood to mean a Buy basket is in play - it's way too early for that (at least for me, as I trade in the H4 direction which is still signaling a solid Sell Basket).

In the file with pair names specify full pair names with prefix and suffix.
For example, if you have suffix in broker "_ecn" in the pair name, type EURUSD_ecn instead of EURUSD
