I do too. I would rather be able to see how much the lines had crossed, rather than just the fact that they have crossed. My question about whether one could be a replacement for the other was more to do with developing an understanding than anything else.

{quote} you can also consider using a MT4 trading simulator like this one by FX Blue https://www.fxblue.com/appstore/39/m...ding-simulator

There is also the LFH trading simulator EA which you can use in the strategy tester and single step the charts viewing mutiple timeframes to test your trading skills.
Screenshot attached shows H1,H4,H8 and H16 timeframes.
I watch the H4 for signals and drop down to the H1 for position building. Cant seem to make it work for a daily chart tho, but nonetheless ok for tinkering at the weekends while you wait for the markets to open.

{quote} I have updated my watchlist with another group below. Just added a few SGD pairs (Group#6) because I moved to a Singapore based MT5 broker this month. I have my own tools for my trade planning which I keep on my server cloud storage which I can access at anytime form anywhere. You can start use a simple spreadsheet and have each column for Weekly | Daily | H4 Note: I don't overtrade despite having 25 pairs in my watchlist. I pick one pair setup each time from each group. I trade longer term swings on Daily and Weekly. I and trade each pair...

Thanks for sharing Emmanuel. Which Singapore broker is it? Personally, more brokers I check more confindent I am that IB is one the bests. The only issue is the platform.

Hi If it is OK I would like to post a few charts with the places I think that trades are indicated marked on them. So I can better learn if I am seeing them correctly. Please could the more experienced people here tell me where I have them right, wrong, and where I have missed them altogether. I would obviously also appreciate the whys where I have made mistakes! Please ignore the actual pairs, they aren't necessarily ones I would plan to trade on. I'm just looking at random pairs for this exercise only. I won't post loads, just 3 or 4. Here is...

Personally, I have some doubts of using TMS(r) with criptos. Before you should do a manual backtesting.
Nevertheless,
OK the first one.
The second one the SL is too big, too many risk. And the area is a bit choopy.

Besides, you should always check the dayly chart.

{quote} NO. It has nothing to do with the day of the week or week of the month. I follow the commodities futures market and forex liquidity, I use forex and hedge my positions.

hello emmanuel7788,

1.why do you follow the commodities futures market? But that market is slower than the forex currency market. is forex currency market not enough for you to trade?

2. I know that every successful trader uses S/L, they don't hedge. Do you always hedge? Have you been successful with hedging? thanks

AUDJPY
The second one is the 4th red candle, too risky.

AUDJPY The last one (actual one) I am not going to take it because a) the daily chart has a big support area b) The down trend is very long, 13 red daily candles. c) The two last Daily candles are dojis d) Daily stochastics crossing up 20 line

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it. I have no plans to trade Cryptos with this method by the way, as I mentioned I was just pulling charts at random for learning purposes.

ADDENDUM - 8/11/19

In Post # 1 I said:

"My hope is that other traders will recognize the power of these templates and contribute even more ways to trade them, hopefully in ways even more effective than I have presented, and that they help traders make a lot more money trading the Forex."

And that has now finally happened (in fact, several times).

I have long admired and greatly appreciated the work of one of the most popular members on Forex Factory whose name is SwingMan. I'm sure most of you have seen his work. He programs for us (at no charge) indicators and such which most of us cannot do.

He made an indicator that makes our 3 lower window indicators even simple(r) to read. It's called: smTMMS Oscillator

I have been quietly (and happily) using it almost ever since he released it.

Another member (RangeRider) directed me to another HMA indicator called: HMA Trend. I like it very much also.

I have combined the two indicators together into the lower window.

Below I am posting a new image to try to put the changes I've made into perspective.

Immediately below the price chart you will see the lower window indicators just as I posted them originally, then under that you will see SwingMan's Oscillator in it's original form COMBINED with the new HMA Trend indicator.

Then in the very bottom window you will see how I have even further simplified them.

In the image below you will see the final version that I am now using to trade with.

I have really resisted making this post because I KNOW it's going to open up tons of questions which I have limited time to answer, but I'll do my best over time. Just try to be patient.

The reason I have finally decided to make this post is because earlier today I was reading Swingman's thread ( https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...=928698&page=4 ) Post # 68 where he said "Generally I have no interest in programming complicated things which nobody uses anymore. Hundreds of downloads were made from my recent TMMS posted indicators, and only two or three members use them (if one reads the postings)."

I want him to know that I DO REALLY APPRECIATE his efforts and you will too.

Here are the two indicators:

Over time I will explain why I find this new set-up easier to trade than the original set-up. Just please give me some time.

Your comments are welcome.

NOTE:

To combine the 2 indicators properly...

Install the smTMMS first, then DRAG the HMA Trend indicator FROM THE NAVIGATOR on top of the smTMMS indicator. Then go into each one by one and change the settings according to the images I post above.

Hi David, thank you for your nice recommendations!

But I see that you do not use the Oscillator version 2.0, posted here:
https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...5#post12409785
where with the parameter
"Draw_Oscillator_Lines = false"
the RSI and Stochastic lines will be made invisible.

On this occasion, you can also tell me if the Dashboard can be useful.

- Here I posted years ago an indicator, as a combination of two HMA's and ADX as a filter. Maybe someone will test it and find it useful.

Thanks SwingMan, I'll take a look at both.

Also with me the HMA_Indicator does not work !

But I just discovered that in Metatrader forum a guy has copied my HMA indicator from the top link #2736 and now he sells that!
https://www.mql5.com/en/market/produ...96#description

If David thinks one should draw it in a separate window, one can do that ...

You can place it in a separate window but I like it on top on the smTMMS indicator because of the unique way I use it.

I forgot that I downloaded that HMA Trend indicator from another site and evidently you must download it from there...it's free.

Cheers RH. Looks awesome. its more binary now... and divergances can be spotted - an additional tool which can keep one out of risky trades. I'll have to sit on my hands until MT5 version of this indi comes out.

EURAUD Week 33 Aug 12 to 16

My top pick from my Group#2 Euro crosses

Keep It Simple: Go with the momentum high follow the Weekly and Cut-Loss below the previous 2 weeks low, and you will not suffer any margin call with proper risk management and money allocation to trade each pair.
