Try adding the indicator to a clean chart as you have an indicator that is conflicting with the MADdash and removing it. You can also check what is happening in the log file

This histogram is a graphical view of these values, pointed by yellow.

According to my observations, these bars are filled when the value is 10 or more pips and are not filled when the value is below 10 pips.

Thanks Michael, I agree with you although in the screenshot below M15 GBP is 10 and the graph is not filled. Will try to observe more during active period and will have to use the full dashboard. Generally for me, it signals very strong strength/weakness.

Maybe i wrote it wrong and these bars are filled when the value is 11 or more pips and are not filled when the value is equal or below 10 pips.

Anyway I've done a longer research and it seems to work exactly like this. I think 1 pips doesn't make any difference here.

The second thing is that the biggest value (i mean the biggest currency value in pips in every timeframe) has always the same bar size. The others bars size are just adjusted to the biggest one.

Apart from the above, there is no doubt that they signal strong strenght/weakness situations

Good luck in your research George and have a good time. August is waiting to throw us some green pips

[quote=albry;12405110]Hi, {quote} Thanks for this! Here is a brand new version that fixes the object deleting issue as well as adds a parameter to allow display of any HTF (M5 through MN) H/L, color/line width options, option to display the most recent still forming HTF bar, and a full code clean up... Please let me know if you notice any issues and feel free to modify anyway you see fit... Thanks, Al {file} {file}[/quo

Any chance we could have a pop-up alert with this indicator on break of high / low ?

Hi Shabs,

It would depend on what you want alerted...

i.e. break of which high low? the prior bar, the current bar?

Alert just once per HTF bar? once per chart bar? or how frequently?

I would like it to pop-up alert once when the previous days high or low is breached, and also the previous week high or low is breached.
I can place the indicator twice to show the lines at the previous highs / lows, just need the alert.
Thanks.

Hi,

I noticed quite a few questions through the thread about the meaning of various parameters and values in the MADdash display.
Since this may be useful to others, thought I would provide my view on what I think they are, as follows:

B(Blue) - In the Group section, the row along the bottom is the calculated Currencies strength for each TF. These calculated values are used to determine the calculated Symbol strength as well as the individual Curr strengths, shown in the TF columns. Note that the values displayed are rounded to the nearest integer, so 9.9 would show as 10 etc. They are calculated using whatever MA settings have been configured...

C(Yellow): The Curr strength bar/gauges shown in the TF columns are based on the calculated strength values, and are solid when the integer part of the Curr strength value is greater than the Alert Threshold param (in this case set to "10"). Note it seems that since the Group values are rounded up and the gauge calc's are integer threshold based, so sometimes the gauge and the strength values don't correspond (as shown for NZD M15, where 9.9 calculated value (read this in Global Vars) shows as 10 in the group section but unfilled gauge bar in the TF columns since the value is less than 10).

D(White): The symbol strength in the TF column is calculated based on the Curr strength values for the pair, and will usually differ to some extent from the Actual values that are shown for each of the symbols in the Group section. These actual values are the current prices distance from the configured MAs. When Calculation Method parameter is set as Pips, it shows the strength values as actual pips from the configured MA for each TF. When method is ATR or ADR, then it seems the values shown are scaled by the ATR(Tf,per) or ADR(per) values, and shown in percent (rounded).

E(pink): Values in the Alert column are based on the Alert Method parameter (in this case "Constant row color"). The values are sorted alphabetically, they are NOT sorted based on which columns are strongest or most recent (which might be nice

OK,

I'll have a look at it to see how difficult it is to add an alert.

I am assuming that it would alert for same HTF that the indi's HTF H/L bars are for, so if you wanted to do it for weekly and daily then you would need to add a separate indi for each of those HTFs. Likely you could set it up to just display a single bar or even 0 bars, and then all you would get would be alerts for crosses of the prior D/W H/L's.

Also thinking that one might want to be either H/L of the current TF bar crossing, and/or the close of the current TF bar completing across the prior HTF bar's H/L.

Sound good?

Al

Hi Al,
Great observations !!!. I am a huge fan of MADdash ever since I came across it a few months ago.
I tend to check the currency strength before I enter a trade.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength
