Do you make use of Levine's concept of 'On Balance Volume' (OBV)? There is an indicator for it in MT4 but many MetaQuotes indicators are not true to their original sources and don't work as intended.

Levine claims OBV trends will precede price trends but (so far) I don't find this using the MT4 OBV.

No do not use OBV because it does not "speak " to me. I never saw something useful even after the fact.

I think we have to take into account that there are indicators which are "fashionable" during some period and eveerybody seem to think they are obliged to use them.

Do you use the Bottom / Top Finder ? I never was able to correctly calculate it ?

What do you see? The bands aren't showing up or they are misbehaving somehow? I'm assuming you already have the indicator in the indicators folder.

Hello ParisBoy,

I use your calculation method to determine the prz, from 2pts (pt H or low) and crossover pt, on excell.
In order to plot the tp on a graph, as a fibo, taking the 2 reference points, would it be possible to create this tool,
Unfortunately I am not a programmer.

Hi mchl13

very simple you just need to use Centered Moving Averages whose periods (duration) are related by a factor 2

hereunder I use 4 Centered Moving Averages of periods 32, 64, 128, 256

Also go to file > Data Window and put your cursor on a price bar then take a screenshot like so.

there are no indicators in those templates
