Ys it sounds like Blablabla yet is not and it has nothing to do with the big boys is just the plan from the start of this trend, why many traders can seems to have a better understanding of technical analysis is because they are busy following the news and missing it with tech analysis which gives them a different result.

In my early time in this business i use to believe that the big boys are here or the broker is fake or stop hunting and many excuses you can here from those losing there money.

My point is this if you want a new result you have to stop all that you are doing now and believe differently because with your present ideal of the market you can't get anything new other than your present result which you don't like.

Before i became who i am today in this business, i had to stand up against my fear and i told my self the truth so i had to start from deleting all indicators and stop coming to FF for news and went back to demo for 2 and half years and came back as a total brand new person with a mind set of breaking all the trading rules.

Hedge would have been only way for quant global macro to make money, and profits would have been capped to just above break even.

Here. I bought at 1.1200. Hedged it with a gold buy vs EUR because I wasn't sure about the Eurozone.

Made a small profit once the EU started imploding and I sold my hedge though.

Stupidity is leaving yourself exposed to risk without protection (I'm talking about properly building a portfolio and hedging properly - using "stop loss" isn't risk management or protection ). Pretty "stupid" comment to label people who took a position based on conviction based on opportunity from volatility as stupid - it could have gone either way, and 50% were just wrong this time.

Nah, banks were short. Funds and other large specs were long though, but I bet you they all hedged properly and still made money.
