TSMr crossover H4 long UJ. Personal discretion: Left chart H4 (stoch slope okay). Right chart D1 (seems same direction as H4, both stoch slope okay, stoch 14 value is 49, rsi 50). Against retracing W1 though (bar is between ema and hull -> not recommended for trade the whole week according to emmanuel7788,), but atm, it is okay as every trade has some risks.. oh i don't trade all pairs, they are there just for me to paper trade as personally MT5 shows nicer bars for APB/HA than MT4 when the...

long UJ is good but liquidity is rather thin for couple weeks and sideways.

when I see Weekly candles 'trapped' between the HMA and 5EMA, I don't trade H4 and D1. Better look at other pairs where the price action isabove the 5EMA Yellow MA line (BUY) or below the 5EMA Yellow line. (SELL) ... plus everything else follow Post#1.

Thank you RobinHood for the HMA(12)...

{quote} you are not buying at the best price. pick the best CROSSOVER bar/candle setup entry when all three oscillators - Stoch(8,3,3), Stoch(14,3,3) amd RSI(14) cross the 50-level within a maximum 2 to 3 bars/candles.

Well technically the signal bar was the 3rd bar so it was still within the limit. But still, it didn't work out, the signs as to not take the trade could have been regarding the 2nd bull bar, quite a large wick up. Also market structure, that big wick ended at a level of previous support where price reacted 3 times (135.25). The 3rd bar and eventually the 4rth bar where I got in never reached that wick high.

{quote} Just as you mentioned spikes, my AUDJPY got stopped out by a spike and now move back lower without me. LOL. It is my dumb money vs the market's smart money.... day in day out.... Can we beat the market's smart money? if YES then How? if NO, then it is simple but not easy. {image} anyway, 1 position +0.5R, 2 positions +1R each.

Please is this spike not from the brokers?

Here is a setup that occurred during the asian session that I'm not willing to take, it's more of a continuation setup: the HA candles turned back to green after 3 consecutive red ones; the Hull MA just barely touched the yellow MA. But looking at market structure we are at an area of previous highs / resistance (as depicted by the purple line).
Personally I would only be confident in a further move up if price closes above the recent wicks (around 108.3)

GBP/JPY
i would say daily was in a downtrend and the H4 RSI was was still up top. Looks like consolidation to me but next candle close might be a continue down.
Or am i looking at the wrong pair. Not sure from your screenshot

1. They more clearly show me a trend, or chop.

2. They make it easier for me to stay with a trade.

3. But most importantly, they tell me where to place my initial stop, and where to trail it.

NZDUSD H4
Continuation setup: Hull had turn to blue for 4 candles during the pullback, HA candles gone back to red. I'm already in the trade from the initial cross signal, but since this is a setup of it's own it's worth the additional trade.

Hi all.

I finally managed to read through these 101 pages of fruitfull information. First of all thanks RH for putting this effort in making trading truely simple(r).

I still have a question (Following the discussion by TheSpooff) on lot size and RR.

How do most of you guys determine the lot size using this method. I'm used to calculating the lot size based on the number of pips that make out my SL and the 1% risk ratio I have on my portfolio. Let's say this 1% would be 100 on the moment of the trade, my lot size would be based in that way i'd lose a maximum of 100 on that trade. A smaller SL would mean, thus, a higher profit, if said the trade will be succesful. Are any of you guys doing the same, and can it work using this method?

@TheSpooff, if you choose a fixed dollar amount of risk you are willing to lose, let's say 100 as well. What do you base yourself on, chosing this "100", and this amount change if your account grows or declines, or will it stay 100?

I'm sorry if i'm not clear, I'm demo-trading for a couple of months and still climbing the Learning curve!

Thanks

Well if you're on the H4 timeframe, candle hasn't closed yet and the previous candle had it's RSI and Stoch8 in negative territory so no.
Now looking at the H1 TF I see there's a cross that happened this morning so that could have been a signal.
