GU going long - is innterresting.
I will be keeping an eye on whether or not Sma 5 points up when it has crossed today's candle.

Hi Oddbjorg,

I hope you are well. Firstly, I want to thank you for keeping this thread alive, I have be following this thread since its inception and actively reading views shared by BK, yourself and others... I have religiously used this strategy and doubled my real account twice but lost everything because of greed. Seeing you posting every time inspires me to trade again. I have decided to give another go this time but 'with discipline'. Like you I am thankful to BK for giving away his simple yet Powerful and stress free strategy and hope he is well and safe wherever he is....

New member here. Have read a good portion of the thread and have started using this strategy. This is a good setup to enter correct?

Looks like it is a good position to take. But the system is also, that sma5 is pointing upwards. Please return if it is not clear.

It feels so nice to be here.... And everything looks interesting here plus simple and effective rules...
Did a backtest from the beginning of the year strictly with the rules here and the results are excellent on most pairs
Will be following this thread and will start a forward testing... I want to say congratulations to the creator of this thread great work you have here....

You are so right. I got 77% backtesting from Jun 2017. Very interesting.

I observed that most trades where Engulfing candles coincide with this strategy makes excellent run (Price action). Of course not 100%

Hi max, it is combination of two indicators, cross of 5EMA with Middle BB and MACD 24,52,9 cross on 4hr graph. I observed it is very result oriented. Position should be taken after both crosses. EU is now support level as you said but we should wait for both crosses. Plz observe.

How do you make use of rsi 14 and rsi 5 with the strategy u ve just mentioned?

Hi Hazeem, RSI 14 for overbought/ oversold and RSI 5 for divergence but not obligatory.

Going through the pages of this thread, it turned out that people had tried adding other indicators to enrich this strategy, but eventually it seemed the conclusion is -- it's better to run the strategy as is - Keep it simple.

But if using RSI and other indicators gives one additional edge, by no means trade with it.

Please I need clarity on this rule pasted below (lifted from page 1). Further down the thread, it seems it was edited that you can open just one position and close half of it at TP1 then allow the rest to run after 3 candles or when candle touches/cross BB top/bottom line.

My Question is - When is TP1? After one candle? or two? And should it be candles of same type or any? (E.g if in a long trade one or 2 green candles? And if in a short trade one or 2 red candles).

Sorry if my question is not straight foward

Take Profit/Exit

 

  1. Take 2 positions of same setup, and close the first setup after taking profit on same day and leave the another setup to run forever
  2. Keep moving SL for second setup as per S&R
  3. You may exit when candle touches/cross BB top/bottom line.
  4. You may exit from second position if you have minimum 3 candles profit as part of 1:3 strategy.
  5. Must Exit on breakeven if setup goes in opposite direction.

I can try to explain

- that you at a Tokyo open take 2 long or short positions.
- that you - at the latest- the following Tokyo open check if trades are in profit.
- if they are - you close one of the trades - and snap that gain. This is tp1.
- now there is one trade left. Move sl on that one and let it go on.
