based on H4 & Daily chart I could say It down trend yet until it break 1.1289 level

based on Weekly chart ABCD pattern created from 2012, it is forecast to move towards 1.1884 (possible)

better usdx correct a little below 96.66 to get 97 handle but may be due Monday ranging trying for 97 with breaks up 96.90 before the ranging . anyway it is too bullish in nature. breakout below 96.81 will look for below 96.66 to look strong bull if . if try hard to get 97.03 first & fail stay up then crash towards 96.27 down to 14 all possible , lets see what direction it may take ,May only Range today though .waiting

Let they all range for 2 day to see what comes up! Usdx breaking down for good bull try next and gu down 2440/below 2460 to good up also and eu up abive 1238 to down below 1200 next probably. Take care

I find it hard to trade on EUR/USD as there's not been any big mouvement for a while, any tips?

We are dealing with a sideways market. Wait for directional bias or go to a lower intraday time frame if you are a scalper.

And not staying long in the market. Look for a short term trend on a very low time trame and take a few pips from an emerging move in price. You may need to use a momentum.indicator on your entry time frame to time your entry.

For those sh*tting their pants about the central banks fist fight, you could always hedge.

A very good and simple hedge I've already floated around would be buying either gold or JPY using EUR.

The idea being the EUR can only go two ways on Wed/Thurs; up or down. If it goes up, you win your EURUSD bet, which will almost certainly sustain and build on its win in two weeks. You'd have a drawdown on your hedged XAUEUR/EURJPY, but you mitigate it with the assumption that the DXY will almost certainly drop, which will wipe out your losses as investors run away to gold and JPY as the DXY falters.

If the ECB take a sh*t and the EUR drops, the EURUSD bet will almost certainly balance by next week and your big return position would be the gold or JPY bet. You could cut the EURUSD bet if you can't afford it, but the only way I see a losing scenario here is if the DXY doesn't collapse, which I think is unlikely.

what's a momentum.indicator?
I guess maybe as it's a Monday it amplifies even more the constant boucing up and down, so staying long could hurt a lot.

Btw I usually trade on the hourly but trading the same way on a lower frame is quite different, what are you main indicators when you open a trade?

For example, Rsi, stochastics or macd. Just use one. If you don't know how to scalp, look for a pair that is trending on the 1hour or 4 hour time frame.

I am a short term swing trader, using the weekly time frame for market conditions and the daily for setups/signals. I trade based on price action and market structure primarily.
