Yes, the ADR of EUR/USD has been piss poor. Even previously highly volatile pairs like GBP/USD's ADR has also narrowed.

Quick look ahead for the week while I have some time. There is still bearish pressure towards 1.116-1.119. I think we see gap down to create momentum to hit stops at 1.1275-85. I am looking to slow play some shorts this week on assumption of accumulation moves down with a possible trap on Friday. I will look for buys if bulls really show their hand around 1.118 if not lower. This is all to prep for big swing up on hope of Fed Funds Rate cut. I see the move up ending the following week on the ECB decision on the 25th. I have my sights set on 1.141-1.151 with a correction or 2 around 1.128-1.134. Then the real pressure is on the Fed. We will see, but I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and gets rest for the exciting next couple of weeks!

What do you expect? Both central banks have indicated rates cuts and both economies have either been contracting or slowed growth. I'm stuck in the EURUSD trade having bet a steady Eurozone and a contracting US. I was right on one, but the ECB took a shit on me so I'm stuck with shit volatility until the end of the month when and if the Fed confirm the rate cut.

Why won't you guys seek out pairs with actual volatility? JPY or XAU against a contracting economy seems the most obvious place to start... (Unless you're day trading, in which case, you're fucked either way)

Nobody should be trading EURUSD now really

If anyone wants a bite of the potential cherry that may or may not come from the rates cut month end, next week is a good time to look for a good price. Large specs have started taking off their longs - I guess it's to wait for confirmation from the Fed.

Be warned though, EURUSD is a pain trade if you didn't get in near 1.1200, but if I'm right (rate cut confirmed), the upside is huge. Shit volatility till then, so it's just a question of whether you have balls big enough to ride it till then without a stop loss.

I just decided not to trade EUR/USD for a while, I was beaten last week even when all my previous trades were good.

I trade in 4H and D1 BTW.
A good strategy for trading is... the opposite of having a bad strategy.
