Disliked..DislikedHi Dave, Thank you for sharing your charts & envelope setups. Taking some time away from my trading method & envelopes. Will crank up again next week & start to dig into what you & Parisboy have so kindly shared. Did our friend T.E. ever offer live data with MurreyMath, or was only EOD offered? Did you ever attend his classroom training, or know anyone who did? I would like to have a sit down chat with Ole Murrey, but don't think he is the kind to spend much time chatting. His recall of numbers are nothing short of amazing when watching his videos, but of course he could be reading notes from a teleprompter. Another thing I find amazing is Parisboys level of knowledge when it comes trading, Hurst & Gann. All new traders would be wise to follow this thread & forget the allure of all the flashing light indicators that litter this & other forums. Not against the use of indicators, but they are NOT THE HOLY GRAIL. None of them. I have two custom made ones that I use as a guide only. One involves Ole Murrey & his method & the other I want say. All in all the envelopes are all that's needed. Parisboy's continued effort to share the envelope way is falling on deaf ears at several threads, but I admire his efforts to share anyway. Ok enough of my views. That's all they are. Thank you again for you kindness.IgnoredIgnored
DislikedHi Parisboy, Your most welcome. Those 5K courses seem to be most popular everywhere. Always heard those that can trade do trade & those that can't sell 5K courses. Your approach with the envelopes is one of the best I've seen over the years. Your study & hard work has paid off. Best of trades to you my friend.Ignored
DislikedA subjective question for the learned. How important is Goodman's swing count theory in comparison to Hurst & Gann? Are any of his ideas an improvement on Elliott? It seems to me that a 3 swing count suffers from the same indeterminacy of a 5 count. It is still a chicken-and-egg type problem where deciding where to start the 'beginning point' can lead to entirely different forecasts. However I am new to Goodman; maybe someone here can educate me.Ignored
Dislikednd{quote} Hi Clemmo17 IMHO Goodman's Swing Count is an interesting simplification of the Waves concept. Are useful : The Propagation concept (expansion, big Waves are made of little Waves) THe 3 C"s : Compensation, Carry Over, Cancellation which manage variations in Amplitude and Time of Waves and Cycles Anyway Duane Archer has overcomplexified "Goodman Theory" for vrious reasons. Moreover the theory does not explain the Directional Changes. Anyway these tools are good tactical tools to read and analyze Swings, and many set-ups. They are complementary...Ignored
