I would like to thank you all for this very informative thread. I'm learning and really want to succeed with forex trading.
I have a question, I live in Sydney Australia and am trying to work out the best times AEST to enter the market. The Metatrader 4 Platform has different times to mine or to the PDT times that Robinhood and Big Ed traded. Can anyone from Sydney help me with the time conversion?
According to me, it would be 3 pm Sydney time, 7 pm Sydney time and 11 pm Sydney time.
I know that Big Ed stressed that time of day was very important.
How do I change the settings on the Time session indicator to adjust to my time zone AEST? I would really like to put that on my chart.

RH shared as simple technical indicators rule-based method.
Only you can build upon this and make it into a system that fits you.

There are entry rules and there are exit rules.
You need both trading experience and very strict discipline to trade this method and make money.

Post charts and we can share and discuss every day when the market is open.

Its good to see you after all these years.

As I read through the posts I like to come across familiar names.

From the two pics GA at 4h ahs start giving buy signal but need to wait till the RSI crosses 50 line so that i may enter buy.
And on the D1 chart looking at it i have to exit the sell trade by the candle color and wait for continuation confirmation cause all the other indicators are indicating sell.
this my first post here.about my explanation here am i right ?

You need to change your Japanese Candles to OHLC bars.

After you do that, on the Daily chart the candles will be red/red and then you will not have ANYTHING telling you to exit the short trade.

As far as I know, the MT4 brokers set the time and you can't change them.

However, there is an indicator called: JF_TradingTimes where you can program horizontal lines to be shown on a chart to mark whatever times you want.

Which broker do you use? I am in Perth and use IC markets as it is a New York Close broker, which means for me at 5am is a new daily candle which is 7am for you...

Add 4 hours to 7 to get next 4 hr close etc.....

Just depending on which broker you use as to whether the candle will be the same, best to find a broker using the new york close candles

I take trades any time of the day or night if I am awake. Yes, I trade mostly the 4 hr. charts and sometimes the daily.
