I dont use it myself(for a reason) but I have looked at it because of the hype. Its the same as the rest of the indicators that we have acces to... Everyone goes crazy when it "works" but nobody cares when it fails and if you look at it you will notice that it often fails and fails hard. I dont beleive in profitable systems, but profitable persons.

Systemhopping at its finest. We have seen it in the past like 1000 times already, but our memory likes to cheat us : )

over my years i have looked at thousands of indicators and tested them well most i discounted included the tma,s but again i have spoken to people who use and swear they are good where other say they are not so i guess its in the eye of the holder

i have looked a hundreds of ea,s and you are right "Everyone goes crazy when it "works" but nobody cares when it fails and if you look at it you will notice that it often fails and fails hard" and thats the reality of it the hype the promises of quick rich,s

Indicators are tools that aid the trader in the analysis of price giving the user more info than just bare OHLC price or ticks.

We can't say indicator A is better than indicator B.

There are expert users of indicator A as well as expert users of indicator B.

The difference lies in the mastery and expertise of the user of whatever indicator.

The problem I have with George and his inner family is their unsubstantiated claim that George is the best trader on the planet hence by inference his MM manipulation psychology methodology is the best technical analysis. Which I disagree. To me George methodology is just another one of the many that grace these forums. Ofc the inner family members who before George thread have not tasted success will claim it's the best thing that's happened to them. No surprise there.

If it means so much to George that he covets this best on the planet title then he should participate and win the world forex championship competition.

More important to the average Joe trader, is simply to use a strategy that suit your personality, risk tolerance and account size.
Best trader or best strategy has no relevance to your own trading success.

Simnz, in a way you are correct. I think with the shutting down of George thread, all parties make their final say and move on from this ugly episode. Lets all return to trading related matters.

Like Aussi and many other folks I too have tested thousands of indicators over many years and in the end most have been of no value to me but this does not say that some folks have not found some value with their with their own modifications to certain indicators.
TMA is in the spotlight at present with different modifications.....Sure it does re-paint but I have been using a basic version on my Renko charts for years and have found it useful when looking for areas of probability....Far more learned people than myself have now presented different versions for testing .....I believe that if used on longer t/frames and larger Renko bricks there may be of some value but I guess time will tell...One must remember that the markets do change over the years.........Charts are only as good as the user in my humble opinion

it isnt geared toward the longer TF or larger renko, so, even more likely to help.
in summary, bar to bar there is virtually no or so little change that the change itself should not influence the base and the validity of the decision.

HGI stands for Holy Grail Indicator. Now that does not mean it is 100% accurate but that it finally attains my goals I set out to do years ago with my 10.xxx series.
