What makes You lose in the market?

its really hard to get on board when the market start to make a direction

Your strategy does not work!
It should have a positive expectancy

... #3 reason IMO why most traders lose in the market is, they are impatient and/or undisciplined. They have a nice, let's say, working trading method and strategy, but after 2-3 losses in row they tend to change their strategy and skip from one to another and another and another... they cant wait long, testing their strategy and analyse after enough series of trades (after min 20 - 50 trades)... Also they are impatient and/or undisciplined when they see that the price goes against him they prematurely close their trades before hitting their SL or TP...

I win most the time.. but I just scalp

Well, having traded for a long while now, I think I can boldly say that I've seen it all. Like Marcmarc mentioned, consistency is a key problem for humans. Most times we have very good strategies but are not consistent enough in implementing them. When that happens, we start doubting ourselves and the strategy. So just like clickclock, all the pieces must work together for you to win.

A losing streak doesn't make a good strategy become invalid and no strategy can win 100 percent of the time.

I suppose that there is another significant trader's mistake that causes losses. It's a uncertainly in the choice of trading analytical tools and ajusting it to curent market conditions. I mean that we all have a great range of tools and maybe advisors but not everyone knows when to use it and when it works and when doesn't.

I lost for every reason imaginable. I quit a few times. The most recent quit lasted 3 to 5 months. I slowly withdrew account funds down to almost nothing. I traded 2,000 once a week or less. Then while cleaning out a shelf, I found an old notebook and on the last page, it had a slide from a "training" company that I have been drawing on my own dozens of times and I realized that was the answer.

Suboptimal harvest strategy... too tight SL when the trade (that would hit) "needs" a certain wider "turning radius" before it goes to the desired/predicted direction...
Also margin-exit (3 day rule by some regulated brokers). Manual close due to lost of hope in a trade.... but then it gets to the right way (when I'm out...
Also LIVE watching, tick by tick... is very exhausting for me, most of the times... so I tend to manual close if I watch it LIVE.. the picture is much more clear in the larger timetrame... when it looks hopeless in 1m candles (when it goes the opposite) for example

Sometimes it depends on the individual's destiny.

Over confidence and greed when I first started, they still play a role now but they are a great indicator to walk away!

Personally, what made me lose the most at first was being impatient and not holding my positions for long enough.
It was easy to become emotional at first until I started gaining experience and trading only amounts I knew I could risk losing without impacting my lifestyle.

I know this only in the context of Trading a risk management strategy - which consist in reduction of initial risk with which the trade was created, based on the
informations Maket give you every time while heading toward your take profit level.

My personal trading experience says that all your strategies, discipline, trading plans go in vain when your mind is overpowered by greedy motives. So greediness is what takes you closer to losses according to me.

It seems to me that every trader has some difficulties of his own, but from what I've heard most often from my friends, who are also engaged in trading, it is the hurry that prevents most of them, because everyone is confident that in a short time he will be able to achieve positive results and increase his capital quite strongly. The second place is occupied by the use of large amounts, or rather large percentages of capital. Accordingly, in a crisis situation the trader simply does not have enough reserve to cover the drawdown. The third place is occupied by trading in a risky situation, when a trader sees an opaque situation, but still makes a decision about what he will trade. To put it crudely, he is counting on luck.

Losing money in the forex market is a very common phenomenon. Traders lose trades because of many reasons like impulsive trading, overtrading, poor risk management, ineffective trading strategies, etc. There is no hard-rule for losing money while trading. There can be various reasons for a trader to lose in the forex market.

In fact, each of us makes a number of mistakes that can have an adverse effect on capital. It seems to me that it is self-confidence that prevents us the most, because each of us reads stories here and on other forums about how this or that trader has lost, and at the same time each of us has an idea that such a situation would not have happened to me, I know everything - risk management, detailed analysis of the market, etc., and then we ourselves find ourselves in a situation that was not expected and understand that the market is not ideal, as well as our attitude to it - hence the loss of capital, which could have been avoided. I also agree that everyone is in a hurry somewhere, but it is not clear where and why.

Taking anything for granted always results in bad trades with me. So i believe, if one wants to trade first imbibe discipline in your trading.

Just suppose you are selling some kind of things and you sell the things
your selling will only be profitable when someone buy from you with a high price) and in this deal purchaser will be in lose for your profit
so it is impossible to trade without lose,if it is than market cannot work

And I think we lose more often because of not serious enough analysis because we see some strong event and it seems to us that everything is unambiguous, and we often forget to look at what happened to the asset before, what levels were formed before, etc. And I can say that this is not just my observation, many of my friends think about it in a similar way. It's just that when some strong news comes out, we have enough limited time to react to it and practice our position, and often traders look at the situation too narrowly. And then they wonder why the market has gone against them? Why haven't they earned? I eventually came to the point that if I did not have time or am not sure, it is better to miss a position and better prepare for the next one.

Not sizing lots calculated in respect to equity-base and exposure is what distorts my positions operating.
