So far I have 4 tests set up and will start them all in a little while, all using same settings.

1) Original v6 with 200ma
2) v6i with my original Ichimoku
3) v6i2 with your Ichimoku ideas with Kijun Sen Exit
4) v6i2 with your Ichimoku ideas and no Kijun Sen Exit

I think I will see if I can get one more coded with the fractal SL to see what it does.

If you use 4) I would propose Price closing inside the Cloud as a safety net Exit.

PS: You could use Price closing inside the Cloud as a safety net Exit for any of the proposed set of rules.

My bets are:

1) Original v6 with 200ma : lots of trades, with sometimes large DD, probably the biggest Profit though.
2) v6i with my original Ichimoku : less trades than 1), expecting DD not as large nor spiky (unless red news events), possible issue with no safety net Exit.
3) v6i2 with your Ichimoku ideas with Kijun Sen Exit : less trades than 2), expecting low DD and a few long runs.
4) v6i2 with your Ichimoku ideas and no Kijun Sen Exit : similar number of trades to 3), but could blow out DD if no Ball 3 exits and no safety net.
5) v6i2 with your Ichimoku ideas and Fractal Level exit : similar number of trades to 3), less likely to need a safety net than 4).

Bets are on, this will be very interesting.

BTW I've been working on a similar BOT on the TradingView platform with similar rules to what I proposed here, but it will also include the Kumo Breakout as an entry and instead of the Semaphore Balls I'm using Fractal Highs/Lows. The Kumo Breakout is considered the highest probability technique available with the Ichimoku. I'll let you know how it goes.

UPDATE: Here's the first draft of the BOT/indicator that I'm working on, the highlighted vertical line is a Kumo breakout and the Aqua/Fuchsia triangles are the Trend Continue entries or re-entries, which could be trade addons as well. Notice how a lot of sideways action was avoided, I have a few extra rules in this idea, in this example I'm using 3 candle Pivots/Fractals instead of the usual 5.

Next step is to add the trade automation controls, with TradingView there is no DashBoard possibilities so no Basket/Group SL/TP options are available.

I'm only including this work here because my Cycle-v6i2 proposed rules are based on the idea.

I have forgotten everything I didn't know about the ichi so I am not in a position to comment on any type of strategy but some interesting developments happening here over the weekend.
Might have to brush up on the rules again........

Same here, have never traded using Ichimoku. Need to study this.

My confirmation is Ball 4 straight line with Semafor it gave me 100% confirmation, followed by Ball 1 and Arrow to enter.

AND Another thing if you want perfect confirmation wait for arrow for 4hour chart to appear, then set you setting of period on four hour are use 18 period and one hour I use 36 period

4 hour is 99% confirmation to 1 hour chart. The setting of period must not be same.

Hi Gene,

looks good and give another tool in the box to use as exits/backstops etc. I guess it would be a case of trialing all these settings as usual and fine tuning. I have found in testing there is that fine line between giving the trades enough room to breathe and cutting your losses and looking for a better opportunity. I feel with the higher probability trades that it might be a case if cutting the losses and getting into the next trade sooner rather than later but testing will tell us.

Great work and its coming together nicely nicely and I feel it will end up a very powerful tool!

As long as the Support and Resistance are Dynamic and change with the trend (or non-trend), that sounds like it could work, I'm not a fan of limiting the Target that way though, I would rather use the Target Line as some sort trailing target start point.

PS: Isn't the MA also a dynamic S/R line already?
