No VB trigger today. It's sign if the times. Ranges are just not that wide as they were before December. So for the mean time th vbasket trigger keeps us out of those lo pip baskets that last ror hours and more then likely make us close it due at a small loss. Nothing wrong with that, in fact that is excellent.

version 52 is in it's final stages. So once down with coding I can concentrate on trading.
I plan to opened up a demo and luse the log feature to run baskets at different hours, let's see if with this small range thing we can find a different time slot that will allow us to take advantage....

Yohec, how is the neg trig approach coming along with these small range days....?

EA montors basket profit
EA closes basket on stop or take or click of 'ClosecAll' button.

Tuesday basket managed to close at +1.5% last night. It was another underwhelming basket so I was happy to take the small profit.

Real basket did not trigger the previous 2 weeks. And it looks like this week will also not trigger. Not a lot of range in the VB's lately to trigger a real basket.

Ditto, for our baskets trading all pairs... However, my ReverseAll Daily GBP model triggered this morning and 1 pair passed through to RB, Gbp/Chf. Net +20 pips. Had I continued testing, I suspect the High ATR Weekly model would have triggered this morning as well. All Gbp pairs(except for Eur/Gbp)are constituents of that basket and amount to the force that drives it. Will take up testing the High/Low ATR models again on Monday. Good enough that yohec is testing basic neg. trigger model.

Wednesday basket hit SL.

Well so much for this week, another under performing week, total profit this week -7%.

Lets hope next week things come back and we can recover these last weeks baskets.

I spoke too soon. VB hit negative trigger of -150 pips. RB is now active.

VB trigger value met, and 3 pairs passed through to RB. This is a botched basket. The most promising trade in VB, an Nzd/Jpy Buy, was not taken by the EA. My fault. ...I failed to remember that I had open an Nzd/Jpy Sell trade.

Hello everyone.
In the latest versions of the EA a new input appears "Being locking profit." Tell EA when to start trailing (% or pips) "If I put that parameter lower than the input" Lock percent level (%) (Select Percen of Profit) " an error message, which in previous versions did not appear.
How is that solved? since if we put that input lower (29% in this example) the EA closes the open positions when it reaches 29% of the 30 pips
How do we have to set these parameters so that when a certain number of pips is reached (30 in this example) do not lose that gain of pips blocked by the EA.

I reviewed the code and my friend you solved something that took me some time to figure out... Lol. But before I tell you want I will update in version 52.. Igot a couple of questions for you.

1. Looks like you want the EA to start trailing the basket when it hits 30 pips profit.... Is that correct?? Cause if it is 30% you better tell us what u are doing to reach such a high profit lol

2. Let's say beginLock is 30 pips,y lockthen step the stepLock you picked, 40pips (the increment for the EA to move your trail) is fairly high. Was that your intent? I mean the EA will have to wait 40 more pips in order to move the trail again... And then after that another 40 pips. Dude that is very wide and can cause you to see the basket move up considerably but say it misses the stepLock by 0.6 pips, then you could see the basket fall down to the first trailstop . Besides I don't see your baskets reaching reachiing 1000 Pips and still trailing lol...

3. When I first added this feature (early 2017) I had to put some thought into what the relationship between the beginLock and percentOfProfit was. So I came up with the warning to not allow the user to have a beginLock that was bigger then the percentOfProfit value. But now that I re-think it more clearly I am going to remove the warning. You see I was thinking that the beginLock when used as % was going to affect the percentOfProfit calculation but now I realize that this is not the case cause the calculations are different for each. So it makes sense that you would want to have the EA start setting the trailing stop when the basket profit reaches 30 pips or %.. then at that instance and from then on the trail would be set at 80% of the 30 pip(or %) profit it sees at that moment. Then of course when basket profit moves up from 30 to 70 pips (step lock = 40pips) then the trail is set to 80% of the 70 pips. Etc etc. I will fix this in version 52.... I shoild be releasing it if not this weekend next for sure.

In the meantime use the trailstop instead of the percentOfProfit. Set your beginLock to 30 and set the trail to 6 pips (this would be the trail for 80% of 30)., If you want u can leave the stepLock at 40pios but be aware that the basket will need to travel 40 more pips before the trail is moved . So in that case you could see the basket profit go up as high as 69pips but then fall and get stopped out at 24pips. That stepLock is pretty wide.

Thanks for the info. I will do so until the new version. My idea is to target 60 pips, but if the basket reaches 30 pips and back, win 30 or 24 pips at least.

This week was a disaster for me. I finally closed my basket for -368 pips, -21.7%.

This week had 3 high impact news items. On Wednesday night it was the JPY, Friday morning was the USD. Anyway, they all went against my basket. The last time I had a bad week where everything went against me was over 1 year ago on May 2018.

On the bright side, I am still in profit for the year despite giving back a big part of it.

Bad for me as well. Stopped out just a few minutes ago for -132.5 pips. Would have been worse had I not,"botched,"the basket and had Nzd/Jpy as a fourth pair in the RB...
