Depends on trader's preference as each session will always throw out something to trade but the London/US session is more idea IMHO

Manually I don't trade the retracement as I buy above the MA Channel and sell below it on MADdash confirmation. This is the simple way I trade. It is however funny that the EA I am testing has done excellently well trading both.

There are 8 major currency groups and each group has 7 currency pairs. The more pairs moving in the same direction in a group, the stronger the strength or weakness of that group; and the more you find this pattern repeated from the LTF (lower time frames) up to the HTF, the better.

Sorry to disturb you George, but as far as my understanding goes while trading manually you let the trend establish on M30 and then trade the retracement of that trend on M1 or M5 although I have obseved that you don't really get the retracement on M5 it is just the trend of M30 in a more elaborate way on M5.

Then can you please explain How to you judge the strength of the fresh building up trade or is my understanding is not exactly what you do.

1. I generally trade in the direction of the M30/H1 trend but enter on the M5 time frame.
2. I use 35 LWMA Channel as my bellwether to buy above and sell below
3. I want the M30 candle imposed on the M5 TF to close above the MA Channel before buying on the next M5 candle that close above the M30 candle
4. If the trend is strong, I will not wait for M30 candle close before entry and will rather use the M5 candle close

Same answer as I gave above:
* I want majority of the pairs in the currency groups I am trading to be moving strongly in the same direction, which means out of the 7 pairs in each group, I want at least 4 moving in the same direction. The more, the stronger but remember if you see all 7 moving, there is the possibility that you already missed the boat.
* The LTF is more key here as every move starts from the LTF
* If we are buying we want to see higher high M1 + M5 candles
* MADdash confirmation - we need to see the stronger currency at the top (top 2) and the weaker currency at the bottom (bottom 2)
* If I am buying and both are at the top, then there is no strength or momentum to the trade yet and will wait for the weak currency to move to the bottom where it belongs

Please see post 2398 where I walked through a trade that was building up until trade was taken.
