{quote} Hey Yudex...I have posted dozens of examples of QM setups..Look for the shadows in my posts and you will see the zones in Long and Short entries. Also read through this thread from the beginning and look at the examples over and over,, until the clarity of a QM setup makes sense to you...Also feel free to post images of what you think are setups and I'm sure you'll get feedback from the masses. Good Luck!

Thank you pip,

Just want to confirm in an uptrend/downtrend do you draw from the smallest to the longest wick? Been studying your charts but seems its been different for awhile? Thank you for the clarification.

Yes, very nice Trades

But how is your total Performance?

I can show 100 examples where it does not work and eat the profit.

for example 3 losses:

Not every QM that I took. It must be practiced as "PIPTALK" ever said. And especially, You should learn " Mertch " chart.

Let me add to Matrix's comment above.

https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...82#post6660382

Understand this one too from IF and u can select the "better" QM levels.
Please be aware of the stop placement.
From my personal market research, the safest isn't always above the HH.
If you study Mertch's diagram and charts, you will know why.

*If you have the time to read some ramblings from a random dude, read below. Otherwise, stop reading and move on to other fun activities

Something that I'm pretty sure will help newcomers, and even people who have been in this game too long and still don't know how to extract some kind of profit each month. I'm gonna post some links to other threads which I deem helpful to my journey in learning how to trade. I will also compile some wise instructions/lessons from others that I experienced to be very helpful.

This is what worked and is working FOR ME. You might have other ways to do it, but this is how I was able to at least get a rising equity curve now. I don't like to talk too much in FF coz sooner or later, proof of rising equity curve would be demanded, ego contest etc will flood the once beautiful thread. This thread is one of the most beautiful thread in FF and I hope it stays that way. I promise this will be the only long post I posted in my history of being FF member.

By posting this story of my journey, hopefully this will help some people that are in the same mindset as I was previously.

1st of all, remember: nothing is 100% win rate.

I was thinking like that before when learning RTM and QMs/DMs.

I was subscribed to their paid service (the forum version, not RTMA). I learned a lot about price movement from RTM, but the topic on "scale" is the one which I couldn't understand, even until now. Maybe I still haven't dig too deep, or maybe I'm just stupid

I was looking for crazy 0 drawdown entry like the charts posted in RTM and this thread.

My mindset was: its either super small, razor-sharp SL placement, or no trade! Let's get that crazy 50 - 100RR trade! I want to be a f***ing trading genius! The chart and price movement can 100% be predicted!!! Its possible not to lose even 1 trade, i.e. 100% win rate is achievable!

Then, as I'm sure most "normal" people that learn RTM (not geniuses born with trading talent to spot patterns, algorithms, and have steel-hard psychological build) realized after a few trials of FL, engulf, and retrace to QM/FL/etc trading, I got stopped out a lot!

I feel utterly stupid and useless. I can't even maintain breakeven/the original balance of my account. Luckily that was always on demo.
Personal opinion: If you can't make money even on demo, don't even think of live trading.

Then after a year of going nowhere and after RTM was shut down, I came back to this thread and studied Mertch, Informed, Batus charts.
Also re-read RTM thread, I studied IF, FXYogi, and lately, SelfControl's charts.

Most important of all: I got rid of the "must have super small razor-sharp SL" mindset. So I just placed the SL in its proper place, which is freely given away by Mertch in his QM/DM diagram in case you're wondering where to place it. The SL is relatively much wider than I have usually done before, but my objective is just to make money and not proving myself smart or whatever other reason by having a super small SL. It is NOT NECESSARY to have a super tight SL to make money!

But even after that change in mindset, I'm still meandering around the breakeven mark on my equity curve. I said: good...at least I'm not bleeding anymore. Next is to find the way to consistent profitability.

This thread by George AUS helped me to understand the price targets better.
https://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=874421
Now I know where to take some off for my trades and the long term targets for the pairs im trading.

Also, a great trader in RTM also said: "the target is at least the engulf"....Another lesson that I personally find helpful.

Then I also learned from a thread from Bloodpoodle
https://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=560393
Now I know why a CP is a strong move and LQG is a weak move....How price usually behaves after it moves through price levels on thin volume/order vacuum.

I also read this thread by TRD
https://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=562581
Now I know when those big moves will happen, what the price controller/cartel/market maker will do most of the time, why stop pools are targeted, how to exploit the ADR for each pair.

Also, there would be no need to trade all 28 major pair combinations as there are lots of opportunities daily in just 4-5 pairs.

I combined the knowledge I gained from the above threads and this thread, I can then see profits at last after a few months doing this.
Imho, trading really isn't easy. Just like any other paths to mastering anything, there are many things you must understand a few steps at a time.

Thanks to all the members mentioned above and others not mentioned.
Hopefully this post will help
