Without knowing what's behind the move you are simply assuming you are trading momentum and have zero idea as to the significance or potential. It's like watching people run into a building and running in yourself following them regardless of the fact that the building is on fire.

Knowledge is power and all you have is price moving not knowing if it will reverse in a moments notice. Take NFP for instance where the headline beat expectations and there was a small spike buying $ only to reverse totally and sell off. You and your single sighted momentum would have been caught in that while the fundamentals trader would have sold into your buying, why, because the fed are more concerned about wages than employment right now and wages missed expectations. Don't tell me you would have traded both ways because that implies you have a magic crystal ball. Without knowing the context of what's happening you simply doing lucky dips.

Cut losses and enter in the opposite direction? How do you know it won't turn on you again? That's called chasing price and it never ends well. Again, without knowing what's going on you are just trading lucky dips. Good luck with that. I have yet to see a successful momentum trader, they all die by a thousand cuts.

That's why I rely on certain areas where momentum is likely to occur and don't just blindly reverse the position.

What planet are you living on. Broker reports show 80% of retail trader fail and those reports numnuts, are a snapshot in time. Idiots like you get lucky from time to time so it skews the accuracy of those reports. If they were scoped at say 3 to 6 months averages,then it would be well over 95% fail. Yes that's 95% of technical analysis traders failing. Every single professional trader I know and from what I have seen over the many years in this industry, apply fundamentals as a directional bias, not fucking charts. Prove me wrong, show me just one account for a trader that's technical only and has lasted more than 12 months.

You have been hanging out with professionals for 20 years as coffee boy or cleaner or whatever your unhired sub contractor capacity was and you never noticed the hype and dump scheme they use to attract unwitting speculators and once they have their funds commuted, they dump the shares for a quick big profit and then the bad news comes? Amended is not manipulation shit head, it's late data that's come in and it's called a revision, a normal part of economic data. I don't trade fake news because I don't read morons anonymous like you do next to the flat earth theorists. It's there in the small print, oh yeah fucktards like you don't read small print. As to the majority, just look at this forum, 99% of posts are technical analysis related. Go to Amazon, 99% of trading books are technical analysis related. Go to the Web and search for trading education including YouTube and it's all technical analysis related.
