Dear Tekkies and the rest of the forum, I hope all us you are very well and preparing for the weekend. I would like you to advise me in a situation like the one presented in the following graph: a good setup is shown for a short in the EUR / GBP pair, however we are against the trend, in a case like this you would take this trade? (The entry would be marketd by a clear blue line ) Thank you

Trends change. How do you forecast when it will do so? You will always get a lot of signals monitoring M15 charts based on the TDI. If you donīt care about the next higher time frame you could probably enter on this particular setup. However watching the longer term picture like the H1 in this case the answer would be no. You should skip this and better wait for a buy signal here.

if you want to continue with your study with that lagging and re-painting indicator. When you have enough experience and know how to trade with a lagging and re-painting indicator, you can make some money.

Fact: Nothing wrong with lagging technical indicator.

There are 8 Edges you need to have as this book front page suggests, but 5 would be good enough to be winner 60% of the time.
It is not that hard as it seems. Some people make it look hard so that they can make your money. Others make it look too simple.

Please take note of the time difference between my charts and your posted chart. The cross over (purple line)on my chart might be wrong.
M15 crossover with Post#647 On a point base:
- Green angle below 5 +2
- Stoch confirm direction +1
- Enter on candle 1 +1
- Zoom out and look left. No other candles to the left to show you if M15 is testing a resistent zone / line / level.
So put a red H-line at 0.87455 +1
Why? Look how the blue bar wicks have tried to reach that level.
Would say you are now in what is called "white space" or "empty space". I like to think of no-mans-land. One that is filled with anti-personal landmines. You got no historical data to help you make a decision.
- Price on your chart has crossed 5EMA +1
- Are you in a short term trend Yes -1
- Are you with or against the long term trend yes -1
- Length of bar? Long +1
- Length of wicks?
Got a problem. Wicks are long at the bottom and short on top. Buyers are trying hard to push price up. Seller were strong and pushed price down with that long red bar. Wicks are giving no helpfully information -1
Bonus point for a double top +2
9/13 is worth a sell consideration. Should you take it, I am not you, it is not a 13/13.
Me yes, Juan I would take that sell order on M15.

Here is my reason: a Double conformation with M15H1.
- M15 has crossed over, wait for H1 to confirm with TDI green and stoch:
Go for a sell when:
- Both TDI green are below 4
- Both Stoch are confirming direction
Three win's and one loss. I would be happy with those pips, any time.
Edit: Slap a break-even on every trade and there will be no losses. Manage your trade's while they in progress.

Each of you expressed a different opinion and I think both are respectable because in that specific example you could win 15-20 pips but there was a risk imminent to be against the macro tendency, in itself the configuration was good or acceptable, everything depends on the risk that each one wants to assume and the type of trader that you are .... Happy weekend

what happen to Follow only Big E' Posts and his Post#261?

trading is not brain surgery. that was a simple M15 trade and Big E posted many M15 trade examples and training charts.

The TDI is the heart of our method. It tells you when to enter and where to exit any trades... so review previous posts and learn it good.

HA Candles are important because it makes your trading way less stressful... use them.

Stoch's is nothing but confirmation. If Stoch's & the TDI give different signals... lights flash off and on warning me to take a closer look before entering.. and usually I look for another trade.

5 ema... shows direction currently... only wanting to enter on candle 1 or two. If there is a reversal do I have a TDI signal to enter... if not and all looks strong then enter on candle 2... use some discretion... practice on Demo... take some chances and see if yor head computer was right... it's free.

HA Candles... What are their size? If they are small I will usually go find another set up... Look for consolidation... look for how close PA is to supp/res levels... use your brain !

Believe it or not you have to participate and think... until it's so second nature... there is nothing to it... it's so simple... don't complicate it or you will lose...

yes, trading is about taking known risks and managing risks.

When Big E trade H1, he took all his information from his H1 chart. he did not flip up and down the timeframes with his H1 chart. He did no refresh his charts when he trade.

But when he has doubts about the TDI, he would simply checks other templates. Which other templates? make a guess.

Which post comes first? Which post shall we follow in logical sequence? Post#261 or Post#647 ?

I Love this statement "trading is about entry and exits. it is always one entry must have two exits. Exit no.1 is your SL Exit no. 2 is your TP" . When I focus more on risk management and exit strategy, all of my statistic grow stably and steadily. I still have many things to learn and practice to improve and grow consistently:
- Focus more on price action
- Find the best MEME version/optimization to fit my strategy (many things to test: mini basket, multiple ratio...)
- Spend extra time for fundamental analysis (I don't know if it helps but it is worth for sure)

Q1) What's the EMA period in this TMS strategy? I tried to install the template file in the {data-folder}/templates. It will not load in my MT4. ?
Q2) Can someone tell me how many indicators and templates do this strategy has for each version/method of it?
