Good example of test, retest of parallel slider in market making higher highs and higher lows. Good separation on retest as Tim would say. Passed on the trade as liquidity drying up this time of day in FX. {image}{image}

Can you expand on what you mean when you talk about good seperation?

Tim Morge has spoken about this concept of separation. I hope I can do it justice.
The first chart is an overall picture. The second chart is zoomed in and shows a red modified schiff with price testing the upper median line. The pink arrow shows the first bar of pivot C. The red arrow shows a hard up bar testing the upper median line but closing near it's high. Since this bar closes on its high it is not a good bar to consider shorting the upper median line. Price manages to fall then rallies back to the upper median line and even pokes above the upper median line with the bar shown by the purple arrow. This bar closes near its low and engulfs the prior bar. This is an example of a bar that I understand shows good sepration. It tested for buyers above the upper median line and found sellers. This is an initial indication that sellers are still in control and may take price down further. In summary separation is a way of verifying a "line".

This is just one factor in considering a trade based on this concept.

Swing expansion to support. Missed first entry but possible secondary opportunity as shown. Limit order.

Hi there. Does anyone have a custom pitchfork indicator for MT4 to share here, like the one in this pic attached (with the dotted lines diving the upper and lower channels in half plus the standard deviations)?

Hey Gauer, there is a PF here, though it does take some getting used to..Be careful using PF with MT4 , the timeframes can differ sometimes..

If price zooms the bearish gap might buy a retest with targeting the median line.

Abe16, from the pics you posted you are clearly not using the median lines method properly, those are not trade setups..

ES. No trade. Bear take out of bull tail. Good example of entry technique.
