On mobile most of the time...how to post charts?

Friday? My chart says only to short.

My rules says to short when :

1) both 50LWMA lines sloping down.

2 ) Take short from pivot to R1.

The price touched pivot for both GJ and GU . SO one should short at that point.

Never long signal on Friday as per my chart.

But, yes, there is long signal available for Monday.

Use pivots and take long entry on Monday.

Somehow Pickles I don't think that you're paying all your bills with the money you're making from forex trading. Especially if you live in Hong Kong!

Just looking at your very first trade about a month ago which went seriously into the red before eventually turning blue. That's fine - admirable, you exhibited great patience and discipline but my guess is that your opening balance was around $100 maybe even less? You increased your account by 22% on just 15 pips!! I seriously doubt that you were trading 15 lots on a 10 grand balance - if that sort of trade didn't come back into the blue (and whoever was on the other side of that trade would probably make sure it didn't with that much at stake) you would have sat with a huge loss or probably lost 10 grand with your very first trade.

I presume you have a few bucks so you could afford to blow $100 without any sweat so the "fear factor" was totally removed from your trading which of course is 99% of the problem wiped out already. Not saying there is anything wrong with your TE but please don't pretend that you're going to buy the Ritz Plaza Hotel very soon with your winnings!!

Hey there...yeah, I don't think I'm going to buy the Ritz Plaza Hotel anytime soon...hahaha.

I started the account with SGD 1,000. It's currently sitting at SGD 22,700. And yes, there is no fear factor as along the way, I have already divest SGD 1,150; essentially I can't lose.

Here's the SS of my balance...

Yes, I employ high leverage...the SGD 1,000 was an amount I was willing to risk..

Maybe the method might look crazy...and yes perhaps...but results speak for itself...what's the system behind? No point sharing until I prove it to be successful...although one can argue I already succeeded in a certain sense...it's all about perspectives...

I'm testing a system whereby it will give 100% win rates...yes, another crazy idea...but so far it has worked for 161 trades that I have put through..so let's see..

If you took buy in GU, you must be in profit.

I will not trust much the levels.

If you profited let us say 3 to 4 % of your capital by that trade, simply book profit. Do not wait for the level to get hit.

That first trade went over $300 into the red before it came back - you must have been sweating just a little! $750 is fair amount of money (well it is to me anyway!) - which is why you closed the trade a bit prematurely (the price went down another 30/40 pips) - quite understandable when one has just experienced a big drawdown especially on your very first trade.

All I can say is really well done - the proof IS in the pudding no doubt about that.

Maybe you can share a few charts next week though - that's what we do on this thread!

No, it wasn't closed prematurely. It was done to quickly increase balance and hence the ability to hold margin for future trades.

agreed

100 % win rate can't be sustained for long periods of time

and it should not be the aim

the aim should just be a reasonable win rate with a good acct growth

but good for him if he's managed to hit that 100 % win rate

in the future he could also claw back to 90 % - 80 % win rate or even less and still be doing fine

No...if it drops off to less than 100% win rate, it means that the system failed. The reason why I held a few deep DDs was because the system dictates that it won't hit SL and will reverse.

good for you , i like your style

but the reason why you hit a 66 % DD is just because your system never hits stop losses

but trust me , i had systems like that :

they work fantastic for short periods of time , but their major problem is that they incur in unsustainable DrawDowns ( the 66 % DD you hit is already too much ) and unfortunately sooner or later , if they never hit a stop loss , they will loose it all

but i like your system , if you can improve it , it would be good

Yes, I fully agree with you. This system is far from perfect, especially with regards to entries. This is why no one should follow me or anything! Also, due to it being far from perfect, I divested 115% of my capital already just to be safe and secure (now I sound like I'm doing marketing for Durex). Along the way, I will continue to divest accordingly. I'm now on a mini holiday in Singapore, visiting some friends. When February ends, I will assess my balance and decide if I am going to divest again.
