Please do, these "live" examples with commentary are invaluable to me.

I, of course, have to find "MY SETUP" but this is part of the process as I move towards that goal.

Yes it did, moved very fast indeed in direction I wanted it too. But unfortunately move didn't carry on to full TP. Though I took 50% off when it did that fast move making about 45 pips, then moved SL on rest to +5 pips which was taken out on the rebound. So in total 50 pips, though spread across 50% of full size each. Still nice profit.

Got to be careful with GBP pairs in current climate with BREXIT mess still going on. Suspect the quick move down was news driven, which can often quickly reverse (which it did).

I think if it is in no way related to the methodology or indicator then probably best not posted. Better to keep things on track so we can use the thread to promote use and development of the indicator. Hope you understand.

SL and TP in place. Walking away now and leaving it. Will check back later as food beckons!

Dragon is the pair I exclusively trade in my main account. Trade nothing else. My favourite pair

dont dwell on it too much ..once something enters the public domain the "creator" as it were loses control of it...and like i said before its better to take the trade at the 3 bar setup than wait for the pullback

I am trying this on Daily charts. What default value should I set for DY_MinBody and DY_MinBodyPct?

That was a beautiful read on price for the AUD CHF. I will try and learn as much as I can from this as there was a beautiful trade here when price broke through support and retraced.

I'd leave them initially as they are really as it picks a lot of signals on the daily chart just using the default settings. Just look at the attached chart - Plenty of daily signals to look at

On the higher chart frames it doesn't seem to matter as much. On the lower time-frames the one setting that is worth playing with possibly is 'DefaultVolatilityPercentage' - change it to 0 if you don't want the signals filtered to meet a minimum body size. But to be honest the default settings seem to do a very good job and will pick up ample patterns for you to look at. Just then pick the best ones once evaluated the trading context and trade (demo first of course until you are confident)

Glad it worked out.
The indicator definitely gave you a good entry signal and if you used the original methodology of waiting for a pullback to the signal you would have a good trade on.


Trading is relatively simple if you keep to a few of the rules. Unfortunately, because it is simple people mistake it for being easy. Write down your trading plan/methodology and see how many trades you can do before you deviate from your plan. That's where you'll learn more about yourself than at anytime before.
