Yes, I misunderstood the post where you were giving up on daily baskets.

So you will continue trading Monday and Wednesday with CMSM v17.01 Level 2 and Tuesday with CMSM v19.01 Level 4? There are number of different systems being posted and it gets a bit confusing.

Question on the Tuesday basket. From your testing, how often did the basket remain open for more than one day? Or did it generally close the same day?

I explained the indicator settings and the EA settings are in the in set file I shared.

Sure no worries yes there are a few set ups flying around.

Yes you are correct, so now there is the current Monday, Wednesday baskets with v17.01, and now added Tuesday basket with v19.01.

From all my forward testing I think only once it went to the next day then hit TP, and one time it closed during the night, but most baskets closed on the same day.

Is there a requirement that the Basket Close GMT be greater than the Basket Open GMT?

The reason I ask is that my Asia Session VB hasn't been opening. Because I use Forex.com I have the Basket Open 21:00 (4PM NY) and Basket Close 10:00 (5AM NY). After I removed the Basket Close 10:00 the VB opened.

You my friend are the first person that has attempted to open a basket at the end of the day with the close being at the first half of the day.

Looks like I need to update the code to handle "outsiders" like you lol.

Stay tuned... I'll send the code so it can handle your condition...

Monday Basket

MT4 EA v44.8

EA: TP: 30% SL: 6%
LotsPerBalance 0.02/500
MaxTrades 7
TakeProfit manual strategy with Manual_lock to begin at 5% to lock 1%. VbVtrigger @ +30pips,.
Basket is closed if I AM ABLE TO SEE PROFIT Or I will manually move lock up 5% for certain levels.

Indicator: CMSM v17.01 level 2@ PERIOD_W1, MA(3,5,MODE_EMA,PRICE_WEIGTHED). MA x [1,2,3,4,8,12]

Profit: 0.94%

totally forgot to. Check this basket before the 3hr mark. As you can see it went up as much as 5.2%. Break Even worked like charm.

The perfect example between the differences in broker feeds and results.

Using the exact same indicator settings, yours managed to trigger a 30 pip VB, whereas mine didn't even trigger a 20 pip VB. (I closed my VB after 3 hrs)

I could do like a test whereby I record all of the spreads at the moment that a vb is triggered. That just may be what adds to the difference.

From what I understand the server is delivering data to all the clients but each client has an associated a bit of a "lag", so that adds to the difference in feeds. Plus each of hour providers also can add a difference in what we see for the data feed. Add to that the ever changing spread values (something that is not seen in basket testing and dare I saw demo LOL). So I would not doubt in any respect that even though we are using the same brokers we see differences and considerable one's at that.

That is why long term (H4 and up) is really the ideal way to trade. You don't care that much for the spread or little lag affects that can and does happen at the lower TFs.

Yes, same indicator and EA settings.

I found out fxopen sometimes does not open trades correctly (Error 0) which could be the issue. Now I'll retry at Darwinex, although leverage is capped at 20 for non-majors. (argh!!).

If you are having a loss you then you have to find out the reason for it. You should always have an account with Brokers that are reputable.
My assumption is that nobody in this thread is having a loss.

Today LWMA was best:

Basket 1 (EMA): +61 / - 25.9 pips
Basket 2 (SMA): +49 / -184 pips
Basket 3 (LWMA): +234.5 / -73 pips.

I will try and log the basket values daily and see how it goes. Maybe there is a pattern we can exploit.

"3xCMSM Method"

0800gmt Open (currently testing alternate Open times in 5min. increments)

Basket 1 (EMA): 3 pairs opened (2nd Best)
Basket 2 (SMA): 15 pairs opened (usually the best but for some reason not this time/3rd best)
Basket 3 (LWMA): 8 pairs opened (BEST by far)

Current max/min +131/-186

All 3 of my Baskets are on 1 chart, so it is difficult for me to find the max/min pip range for each cmsm.

Today was a much better day for me probably due to the fact that I changed "Add new Trades Suggestions on real basket" to = FALSE. I had it set to TRUE mon-wed. and it did not perform well.

Ill be out of town on vacation Fri-Mon, and will not be able to perform proper testing. Its up to you guys, Chrisdk & Yohec, to carry the torch during that time haha.

I believe there will be some differences in results between having 3 charts with 3 indicators vs 1 chart with 3 indicators.

Personally im using 1 chart with 3 indicators. The EA does not open pairs which has been suggested by one indicator , hence the result will all be unique pairs.

If using 3 charts with 3 indicators, we may end up having duplicated pairs (if 2 indicators suggested the same pair).

Just to show, the result of using 1 chart with 3 indicators is not ideal for me.
