for me, when it comes to signals there should be no hocus pocus...... it should be a simple clear cut color change..... easy to see regardless of language.....

my 10% yearly goal mentioned in post 1 probably seems ridiculous to most...... for some reason when i aim low, i hit high...... and if i aim high, invariably i hit low.....h

hey beerrun..... there are several ways..... one way is to enum the alerts.... that selection can be used to select the same file in a string array.....

i'm sure you know , but some might not, the wavs must be in your sounds folder and should be short...... metatrader can use any wav file as an alert sound, even stairway to heaven, but it's length causes issues with other functions.....h

hey mr d...... just read your pm..... that video was just teaching them the value of combining indicator types to better select trades...... the tsr is a trend indicator, williams %r is a momentum and psar is similar to price action.......

i kinda dropped the ball on this thread...... have about 20 more signals to post.....

yes, we use each and every one almost daily...... some are better than others..... every single one i have rewritten in a specialized manner that ties them all in.....

we trade with the trend for the most part...... for us, the signals themselves are far less important than the trend.....

we trade small..... a 10,000$ account can be doubled in 2000 5$ trades...... in reality it usually takes less.....

i'll post some examples next.....h

for the most part, all our orders are sent with the signal in the orders comment..... the trades are exported to excel in simple manners such as below to very complex manners.....

in the excel picture below the most important columns are d which is lot size, j which is profit or loss, and k which is the orders comment naming the signal.....h

the first picture below, the red line is the sell signal..... in the second picture below, the lime line is the buy signal...... both have the price box at the entry.....

for some, the entry's might seem late..... the true entry signal is waiting for the tsr to confirm..... the third picture shows the tsr.......

those are 10 pip bricks.... a single 0.01 lot trade per day would only require roughly 4 bricks to make the 10% goal mentioned in post 1......

this account is up 1,148$ or 11.5% this month alone..... subject to change...... so the entire years goal is already surpassed.....

trade small...... trade with the trend.....h

this is an expanded excel version of post 24....... all signals and trend filters are exported...... visual sorting is easier in excel than in metatrader itself......

in a perfect buy world, a, b, c and d would all say buy only...... those are the weekly and daily trend filters...... e and f are the 240...... g and h are the 60......

when all the weekly, daily and 240 filters agree, you can pretty much take any agreeing signal column o..... you probably know the saying, " don't mistake a bull market for brains "......

similar for sell.......

when the market is trending, trading with it seems less risky.......h

Hello sir, Thanks very much for replying. It seems like you are using renko bars. And using the excell to trade strength against weakness.
Does this mean, Using the tsr 20 as an example, Would be mush less profitable on it's own.Do you have an indicator to change the regular bars to renko

hey mr d..... lou g and the last viking here on the forum have some renko bar indicators...... i use ovo's renko indicator.... he's from prague, can't remember his name......

it's seldom any indicator will stand alone.... that includes the tsr......

the eurusd trade you mentioned was good but would have been better had the trend been clearly with you..... it was clearly against you...... and yes, the 4 hour chart is plenty good......

look at the daily eurusd chart...... price is above the ichi cloud..... alma is rising..... tsr(20) is rising...... tsr(89) is rising......

sometimes it's better to wait a few days for it to turn......

look at the audusd monthly and weekly below...... clear downtrend...... but the daily is not...... those 3 day wonder rallys can hurt.......h

Also with tsr and psar attached. I still struggle to trust them a little. May I ask?
I read where you said the Zig Zag is your favorite indicator. Would you be willing to tell me how you
Trade using it? By the time it reverses, The move is at least half over. I tried all week to figure it out.

hey mr d...... yes, this is sometimes true...... but keep in mind, half the move can make us millionaires pretty quick..... and yes, no doubt, the zigzag is my favorite indicator...... everything i do is in reference to it......

give me some time to write a couple indicators to more easily show my thoughts.....

till then, think about the psar....... imagine, without looking at a chart, that the price is wandering higher with the psar slowly advancing higher from below...... imagine, again not looking at a chart, that a fast moving average crosses below a slow moving average...... that can be a sell signal of sorts......

how many bars , if any, will go by before the price breaks below the psar..... how much of the down move will be consumed before the psar says 'down move in progress'.....

it's the same deal as with the zigzag...... or bbands..... or support..... much, maybe half, of the move is often spent......

but half of a bundle is still a bundle......h

You kind Sir, are an amazing talent. I can only load the indicators, I could never build them.
I look forward to see the indicators as well. I will set the alerts on the zig zag and test it all of next week.

That first image of an indicator is just wow. Do you trade with it and if so, Is it accurate?
I need to put all of this into a working method of sorts. Talk about nice, Just follow buy sell signals.

hey mr d..... yes its accurate..... but it was not written to trade with ....... it was writtin for peyton...... primarily to explain the law, objects in motion tend to stay in motion until acted upon by an external force......

that chart is looking at the last 9 bars on each pair on each timeframe...... 0 being the current bar ...... the colors are magenta or red for sells ...... and blue or lime for buys.....

it is looking at 2 moving averages..... if the fast ma crosses below the slow ma with the price above the psar, the color is magenta...... when/if the price falls below the psar with the fast still below the slow, the color turns red......

similar for buys..... if the fast ma crosses above the slow while the price is below the psar, the color is blue...... when/if the price moves above the psar with the fast still above the slow, the color changes to lime......


so,
in a perfect sell world, there might be a couple magenta bars followed by about twice as many red bars.....

in a perfect buy world, there might be a couple blue bars followed by about twice as many lime bars.....

selling often begets just enough selling and buying begets just enough buying for us to slip our orders into the trend.......h
